Friday evening, michel , my french husband and I were invited to eat in a restaurant.
We ordered oysters.
Photos laters, okey?
This is the story.
We were five invited, Michel, me and three french girls.
We choose a seafood restaurant.
We asked for 6pcs of oysters.
Please allow me to put the price, para in na in yung kwento.
6 large oysters, 10euros(620php)
Michel and I shared sa 6 oysters, baka di ko magustuhan.
Yung iba, kanya kanyang plate of oysters.
It was served raw, already open , in a plate of crushed ice with lemons at the side, wine vinegar with chopped onions, butter and bread(french bread)
Yummm sarap pala nun!
Just dont think it is some s_pon you just blew lol;
how to eat oysters:
We squeezed lemons in it.
Or red wine vingar with onions.
Sus, kakalaway!
Then sabay higop direct from the shells.
Dahil elegant ako, (lady ako eh), I used the fork, then dropped it in my mouth.
(Again, just forget it is some murky thing, lol)
Basta masarap.Try nyo.
Then sabayan mo ng lagok ng white wine, piece of bread with butter, while go blah blah.
Bitin yung three oysters ko. But being kurips, I promised myself, bibili ako sa grocery and do it myself.
Aperitif lang yung osyters.
We ordered mussels with french fries.
Some ordered fish soup (bouillabaisse aka bu-ya-bes) with bread and rouille paste and cheese.
I ordered baked mussels.
Blah blah again... Two hours yun.
Ganun ang french dining, more talking than eating.
Sabay tawa kahit di mo ma get ->re: ano ba yung usapan????!)
Lalo na puro français usapan, haaay....
Payment time.
One french said, she cant stay long.
We said ok.
She called the waitress that she wanted to pay her own bills only.
Opo, ganun dito, KKB! pay- your- own- as - you- go- along... even one table lang kami.
Her bills were paid, Michel told her, that if she leaves, makes sure she paid the total bill.
She said seriously to Michel: Hindi ka nahihiya????!!!
(opo ganun ka frank, haha)
Michel asked the waitress; Where is the kitchen?!!!!Tawanan kami, kasi it means, maghuhugas na lang daw ng plato si Lolo, haha
The one who paid first, was ready to go by putting on her jacket,,,(and after her bills were settled.)
Michel called to the restaurant manager:
Sir, yung ale hindi bayad o, tatakas!
Tawanan ulit, haha.
We were four left and after desserts, we settled the bills.
Kanya kanya kami ng bayad, although Michel the gentleman, paid the bottle of wine.
Ganun po dito between friends.
Walang lamangan. Kwentado hanggang sa huling sentimos.
And if you try to pay all, ano ka, kandidato?
May hidden agenda ka ba to come soon????
Tryin to show off?
Unless milyonaryo ka...But even then...
Me totoong puso kung maglibre.
Hee????
TRY to be Fair tol....
promised photos eto na;

nice meal and thanks for sharing that kind of bonjour culture. I saw the raw oyster sa palabas ni Mr. Bean.
wala daw ba siyang binabayarang taxes?
Wala daw ba siyang crisis?
Yung isa nag sabi, ipakilala ko raw siya, baka me hidden welath lol!
Ang taya sa bayad dito pinagtatawanan.
Even sa kape kape kkb kami.
Mas gusto nila, bayaran na, ng walang sumbat in the future gaya ng;
if you remember!!!!!I paid you a meal...etc etc....now you cant give me a favor???????

Sarap ng Oyster! but nothing beats if you'll eat it fresh talaga. Yong bina blanche lang sya sa boiling water then wallah!! Sawsaw kaagad sa toyo na may suka at calamansi. Ate, I don't think I'll eat the french way lol. Di ako nabubusog sa tinapay eh. lol.
I love that idea na KKB, not unless na nakaririwasa ka or you are having extra money.
Sa Pinas, I always make it a point to invite my family relatives and friends sa bahay ko mismo either for lunch or dinner, mas matipid pa, mas komportable pa ang lahat kesa sa resto.
I love those oysters, kaya lang sobrang mahal pala dyan hahaha. Happy weekend.

Anonym, kultura na kasi natin na to give the last drop, kahit kinabukasan, wala na maisaing, lol
then iwasan ka nila, ksi they look at you as a future non stop responsibility....
So kung magimbita ka sa Pinas, be frank, ganito;
"sama ka? kakain tayo sa resto, KKB, if you like lang ha, walang pilitan."
Then say the restaurant's name and the budget the person must prepare.

It may look alright if one is in the states and pay only what one had eaten. Pero nakakahiya pag sa pinas. There is a saying "when in Rome, do what the Romans do".
