Surprise visit !

Bonjour!
Our door bell buzzed. It wàs ten in the morning.
I open the door, two police agents on duty were at the door.
I asked them about the visit, they asked me if my husband is at home.
I said, he went out, but he said he will come back immediately.
I let them in, one is a lady police, seems age 28, and a young policeman whom I guessed at 23.
"We are here to conduct investigation, Madame."
"Okey. (but my brain wàs whirling, whats going on?????)Should I call my husband?"
"No, need, we can talk to you, its the same. Can we have your carte de sejour(resident card)"
"Here."
"Your husband, does he has his nationality card inside the house?"
"Ah, he brought it with him. I can call him, in five mins, he will arrive, he just bought some bread."
"Okey. Meanwhile, can we have your livret de famille? (French family book)"
"I will have to look for it .I dont know where he put it, I call him now."
I called him:
"Michel, the police are here."
"Coming in 2minutes."
(By his tone,he was expecting them???? How come!!?)
(Meanwhile, I was thinking, why they're here? Did they found my lost laptop robbed last 2006?)
I found the family book, Michel's passport and mine and gave them to her.
The policewoman recorded our details in her notebook while the young policeman was just looking at us in the table.
What a pity, Marghie wàs not àt home, the young policeman wàs soo handsome, feel ko to be my son in law, lol
I offered something to drink, they said: " No thank you ,Madame."
Very polite police agents.
And economical. Bah, kape ko, brewed; they refused????!!
She asked me when did we got married, if we have children.
"We have only a cat but no children.I have my three children from first marriage."
"Can I get their names and birthdays?"
(Michel arrived, said good day to them and immediately asked them, why they are here, what is this visit all about...)
Monsieur, your wife, applied for her French citizenship, we are here to conduct surveys.
Me: (ngek! Ganun? Onga, onga, me police check up nga pala yun!)
Michel : "Ahhh, (làughs), I thought my wife commited a crime!"
"No Monsieur, didnt you recieved our notice left in your mailbox last week?"
"I got it , it says urgent, and I called, no one wants to give us a detailed answer what it is, so we called again and someone said, two police agents will arrive today."
"Et voila,Monsieur, Madame, its us!"
(Tawanan ulit!)
"Monsieur, we need the names and birthdays of your children from first marriage."
"Oh dear, i dont remember...."
"Monsieur, they are very important dates, you dont remember?"
"No, I dont see them very often, I dont remember, but I can get my old french family book."
(He gave it to the policewoman, she recorded the details.)
Then the lady agent said:
"Madame, I would like to see your rooms."
"Okey. It is bit of a mess, not yet arranged, we just wake up at 9 as I work at midday today."
"Ah, you are working? Where? What trade?"
(She noted it.)
"Where is your bathroom. Here.(she looked long checking if there àre Michel's ràzors???)
"And the toilet? Here.
"You have two bedrooms? Yes, occupied by my two children. Both working now, so they are not here today.
"Where are your clothes? Inside our room... here in this closets
"And the clothes of Monsieur? In the salon closets. Here...and here...
"Its okey, no need to open everything."
"Oh, (feeling sad)you dont want to see my fur coats and nice long gowns?"
( But I ddnt say that... but damn, she should look! hàhà)
It took them 20minutes .
Later:
"Madame, Monsieur, the survey is finish, we will make a constat to send to Prefecture,(Immigration Office) and to assure you, with us it will not be a problem, we saw you both as true husband and wife, and the Immigration will send you a convocation to get your nationalité française when it is ready."
"Okey, thank you, I was told, it will be in March 2010, thank you for the time in coming here. It was a pleasure to meet you both."
Michel offered them drinks, they said, no thank you.
Thats it, sus, survey for citizenship ko pala!
Kala ko laptop ko ibabalik na, lol
When I discussed to Marghie she said: "Ma, you could have called me, im just nearby, guapo ba talaga yung mamang police????"
"Hee!"

Post a CommentAng dali ng processing diyan dito it takes 10 to 20 years to process at yong foreign wife have to stay 5 years muna bago mag apply at not guaranteed pa kung bibigyan ka o hindi but if you are a muslim you will get them fast.Dual citizenship is cool.
what a scary experience! malaysia is very strict with PR's. 16 yrs & 5 children later, i'm still waiting for word re: my PR. the process here doesn't involve police visits at home but might involve an 'interview' of the malaysian husband at bukit aman police station (known for its intelligence unit). and as far as i know, malaysia doesn't allow dual citizenship.
haha, ang galing! Congratulations in advance ate francesca sa citizenship mo. Natawa naman ako kay Marghie, gwapo ba talaga, di ba pwede papicture?.
parang invasion of privacy ang dating sakin pero ganon talaga kasi they also have to make sure.
sana kinantahan mo ng french national anthem sabay panatang makabayan hehe

Kakatakot naman. Why wouldn't they tell you the first time you opened the door to them? Paano kung pagpunta nila wala ka na?
What's this family card? Kahit citizen nila required to have one?
Dito walang investigation. Exam was recently introduced last 4 years lang yata, before application form lang then personal appearance that's it.

sleep, ayaw ng malaysia ang dual cit, daya naman. Payag ang pinas bah!
mr thoughts koto, uu, guapo, sus if ikaw kaharap, maging instant bading ka, haha. Ala brad pitt, kulay at tindig, pati buhok. Looks clean sa white uniform.
Talagang mababading ka, haha.
Justice, uu, invasion of privacy nga, but they do that also to check if we are hinding something from them by our reactions. Yoko kanta ng national anthem hehe. pwede pa: I dream a dream, ala susan boyle, lol
auee, family book, yun yung if ikasal ka sa france, the cityhall or french embassy will issue a FAMILY BOOK, parang passport, where they recorded date of marriage all your members of your family. For french nationals only.
so bukod sa MC , meron dapat french family book.
Then carte resident.
Ganun sa France, everyhting is documented.
Even pag feel mag suicide, it has to be documented, notarized, when, time and date, and MUST BE witnessed.
Joke lang.

It took about 8 months for my US citizenship. It was a very smooth process. I kept my Filipino passport, hindi pinag-interesan ng U.S. government hehe.
Congrats!!!
