Bonjour!
YES, japanese cuisine was the menu last night in my employers apartment.
With seafood salad
White wine
bread
tropical fruit with ice cream as dessert.
Made in one hour including serving and setting the table,
I was scrambling. FOUR GUESTS, only.
But still I WAS scrambling, which one to do first.
Maybe my heart was not at work.
Grr, honestly, I was fed up of guests, guests, guests!
That I made some silly inevitable mistakes!
Mistake 1. I serve salad to Madame instead to the guests first. Madame saved me by giving her served plate to a guest nearby.
I realized , im not right.
Proper serving should be Lady Guests first, then Gentle men, then Madame, and lastly Facundo.
But he tasted the wine first.
And approved it, (he cannot do otherwise, lol)
Mistake 2. Serving wines. One bottle of Chardonnay was empty. I took another bottle from the wine cooler, and served it direct to the guests. Normally, I should not open it yet until Madame approved it is the right wine to serve. But as Im not in my proper state (too tired and fed up of parties). I open and served white wine to all empty glasses, but brand Chablis.
Rule is, in wine serving, do not mixed brands, the guests will get drunk easily.
Facundo saved me. He said: "Ill do the wine serving, can you get a new bottle of CHARDONNAY?"(with emphasis, c-h-a-r-d-o-n-n-a-y.) oo nà,... shar--do...ney....
Mistake 3. Dessert serving, same, ladies first, men after. Ngek, I served the men,(just neàr me na kasi, lastly the ladies.) Gawd, where is me...eee?
Good enough , the ladies said: "We dont want desserts, thank you."
MISTAKE 4, the worst ever.
Madame said: The sashimi ( salmon fish )was not as good as last time you prepared. Is it the same brand you bought?"
I said, "Yes, always the same, the best brand."
"Then be carefull to take the VERY BEST next time."
Nairita àko! what does she think, I m not careful AT ALL?????
I told her in front of the guests in a very serious tone:
"Madame, last time, you were just so hungry.
Today, you are just drunk."
Oppppsss!! What was it I just said?????!!!
ALL the guests stopped eating.
They looked at me. They looked at Madame.
I was in red chili HOT face.
I wanted to die...
She smile and said:
"She is the best employee I ever had. I cannot change her for anybody. And, Francesca, Im not drunk. Not yet.
( She holds her wine glass and smile ) Cheers to everyone!"
And so they toasts and back to discussions... almost forgotten my stupidity!
Meanwhile, that night all I wish is to disappear!
Wicked me, wicked me.
HOW COME I DIDNT BRIDLE MY TONGUE!
I was glad I have a smart Boss.
I was sad I have NOW a troubled conscience.
I cant sleep!
It is true. No rest for the wicked-
Me.

Hugs francesca, you're stressed & tired. Is there something else that's bugging you?
Perhaps a heartfelt sorry to your bossing will put you at ease. I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

Just apologize. And she will feel good.
A simple sorry should be enough :). Ate, you are just human like anybody else. The fact that you were aware of what you did means a lot. We are not perfect, that's part of life. Hope you feel better :)
TY sa support girls.
Grabeh, menopuasal na ata ako, waaah!
anyway, hindi na naalala ni madame yung incident,
proven, lasing siya that time, lol
buti na lang.
I think, na french na ang ugali ko dito sa France.
Yun bang, if they say bad to me, hindi pwede na I dont react back.
Ganun kasi mga french. They blurted out, and mistaken as arrogant, ke one do not like it or not.
Lalo na ipahiya ka in front of everyone.
Sa tunay na pinoy, tatahimik na lang.
Sa French, they reason out, and two minutes after, back to normal na.
Not a good habit, but honestly, it is creeping to my bones.

its normal to have blunders because we are not perfect.
tama, sa filipino culture tatahimik lang which nakakapikon talaga. back then sa manila i always get raised eyebrows and people think im too wild and liberated raw because i react, say what i think, do what i want and fight for my rights. when they knew im moving to the netherlands many said - bagay ka dun, lol.
anyway, if i was on your shoes, i would just say sorry but then as you said she has already forgotten it, lol. so take it na lang as a learning experience. every day we learn new things that we can take forward with.

It is understandable that stress and fatigue must have taken its toll on you. You just need a break, probably a day rest will do.
The good thing with European employers ay malaki ang pangunawa nila and they don't harbor personal grudges with their employess. Though I am in Middle East, my immediate boss is Greek, then I am working with French guys, and they are so appreciative at cooperative.
A blessed weekend and please have some rest. Sori, napahaba.
Life is Beautiful. Enjoy it.
