Bonjour! (Good day)

If one enters a room (office, resto, shop) one must greet 'Bonjour'(bongshor).
If Good Evening say Bonsoir.(bongswar)
A french greeting to show one is a human being entering the area.If you dont, then the regard is A Classless ( no breed )person entered the room.
One culture to master when in France.

et oui...

Topic for today is Christmas in France.
How the french celebrate Christmas?
They decorate their homes also with glitters, buy pine trees to have an arbre de noel( christmas tree). Some put Green plastic tree ,some buy in the market as shown in the photo.

But no Simbang Gabi( Midnight Mass).
No.
At 4am like in Philippines? Ah no. Here with the cold and the wind that tatters your teeth to shivering cold, no church mass at dawn.
Even the priests are tucked in their beds, haha.

The french practiced gift giving also, shopped for festivities, shopped for foie gras de canard(duck fat liver) with champagne.Or a raclette, melted cheese in a fondue (no english trans for it, sorry but it is like heated pan with cheese or oil called fondue bourgignon)where you dip your raw meat in it while eating in the table.
The meal usually with lots of bread and wines.

If dinner with meat, they drink red wine(vin rouge) or vin rose (pink wine).
If seafoods, vin blanc(white wine).

New Year , the meal would be with Oysters and Champagne. And some goes to restaurants than dining at home. All restos are full up.

Most of the french do not go to Mass in the Church. The past French Revolution do not encourage them really to be religious. You might find churches here,if not close , have one hour special mass a day.
The french prefer to go to Ski instead.
Et oui.

My employers are Germans. They spend gift giving on the 20th of December, and go pack ski gadgets in a valise and off to the alpes where they bought an apartment in Gstaad,Switzerland and come back before Jan 2 to ready for their Real Estate business. In Monaco.

Usually Im free to go anywhere also on those dates. No cleaning of their apartments while the pay continues. Besides, I have Christmas bonus already, what for to stay, di ba? Meanwhile Chico spend holidays at home with Kikay and Cheeky.

If only France-Philippines is like Cubao Baclaran, I would really grab a trip quick.
Sarap mag shopping sa Pinas...

While the less budgeted french would just sit at home, and watch another passion, football.Or tucked in bed, sipping hot tea.

So, thats Christmas in France.

2.My co worker is a pain in the neck.I will search in the net what to do with her haha.
She do not want heavy work like buying mineral water or carrying wines from the cave (storeroom) to the kitchen.Or carrying heavy stuffs like carrying old books to the storerooms...
Helllerrrr....

Okey, sige na, ako na, kahit ako ay half arm handicapped.A bright idea entered by little brain.I called Michel to help me.
Madame saw him and gave him a hundred euros.Ba, 6000pesos na yun ah.
Lolo, hati tayo oy!

This new girl complained a lot too. Typical french. cava pas, cava pas yan lagi sinasabi. It means, not right this and that.
I wish to strangle her.
Slight...

One day my employer asked me if I go nicely along with the new femme de menage (Cleaning lady).
I asked why?
She said, she doesnt like her but have to keep her because of my present state that I have radiotherapy, I might not able to work long hours.

I didnt tell my employer that we sometimes fight."
"She is nice,Madame, works quality, worth keeping."
Sabay(Bof!)
Monday, this femme de menage asked me if she can smoke a cigarette. Its a need, she added.
I told her, not inside the apartment. She went out of the terrace to have her cigarettes.
Dear....she was trembling lighting one...

Then she called me, if I can make her a cup of coffee.

Taas kilay ko!Okey lang siya?

I told her: Whats stopping you????!

She entered the kitchen and made her coffee.Pouting.

That goonie...Utusan akohhhh?

People have differences in culture and upbringing. Just don't allow to be trampled upon.

seems she will not stay working with me.
okey sana siya mag work, mga worst part like arranging cupboards and closets, sa kanya pinagagawa.
but ang ugali, grabeh, cant stand her kasi she is negative.
i prefer to work alone.
Ay, ngayon ko lang na realise na may dalawa palang pronunciation ng 'bonjour'. Salamat ha! :)
