Bonjour!
How's the days been to everyone?
dear, I was happy to recieve your greetings and mailed cards, bah, old blog friends sila,still they got my address.Holidays really makes our days go round and merry.Ke, me crisis or wala.
also those via emails and blogs.
I do not celebrate those, being a JW, but still I appreciate your thoughts.
Im posting a different upcoming experience. Serving dinner to ten persons to a flush apartment in Monaco where only Madame in haut rang( high class) can join.
Sus, i got nervous.
My employer in the afternoon was soo proud(?) of me, she recommended me to her friend to cook some french cuisine.
Ngek.
Kaya ko ba yun?
I called that Boss and discussed the event.
December 31, 9pm
Dinner for ten guests.
Aperitif.Nems.
Lumpiang Shanghai na malilit. OK ako, madali na yan, eyes closed pa.
Starter, Noix de St Jacques
ano yun? Scallops pala, sus.St Jacques ka dyan...Ok,
Pero teka, anong luto gusto mo neto, Madame?
Bahala na raw ako.
Ngek, ang sanay ko dyan eh to fry in butter and put some ginger and lemon juice.
Okey daw, eh di ganun,
Ano bayan, pagtyatyagaan style kong luto?...
Then main course na.
Beef filet. What daw can I suggest?
Malay ko,I did that to my french husband, in mustard, white wine, herbes de provence...
Oks daw.
Wala ba siya idea what to prepare??bakit suggestion ko?!!!!
Sige, I said, but Madame we need some sidings on it.
Can you make some Gratin dauphinois.
Ano na naman yan...sigaw ng utak ko.
She said, it is potatos baked in cheese and cream.
Then I cant do it.Sagot ko.
Ok I do it, but you help me...
Okey Madame, we do it together.But I suggest green salad or vegetables as sidings.
Ok daw, gawa daw ako non.
And the dessert?
Framboise in cream.
Raspberry ? Ah ok.
Lagi na lang in cream, tataba guests neto, sa isip ko.Mga french pa naman, ayaw ng heavy meal.
Sige, I ended the discussion via phone, We do that tom.
Madame,I charge xx euros for one hour.
No Problem, please bring someone to help you, she will get her xx per hour too.
OK.I thought of Marghie.
I hanged up.

I called Michel. "Can you help? Your car is needed, to shop.With service fee."
Ok ke Lolo.
In an hour the grocery was done.Drop it to Madame"s and went home.
I was imagining the scene while going to bed.
Expensive ten tall wineglasses for champagne, red or white wine.Total 30 wineglasses.
Silverwares.Linen napkins.
Flowers...
Must warm the plates.
Four menu courses...
Cook,Serve, change plates, cutleries, serve again...Wash the dishes...and Pots. and Pans.
Make sure with Candle lights.
Must wear a chef's uniform.
For Ten people.
Whom the guests are used to 700euros per plate dinner at Hotel de Paris.
Then ako ang chef? Ako?!!!!
I shiver to the thought.Kuma kabogkabog talaga ang puso ko.
I regretted it,I took the challenge. Grrrr.
I wanted to call it off and say, Im sick.
God please help us all.
