Pinay maids, nakakahiyang profession daw?

Hahaha!
I received a nasty comment about being a Pinay maid. I should have let it go. But, seems someone wanted to show that she is (in her own opinion as her usual lame excuses)have a better position than having a profession as House Employee. She wrote:
"bakit ganun ang mukha ng daughter mo? parang wrestler at kumakain ng manok na hilaw? sorry ha, pero just an honest observation."
Understandable...On second thought,
I answered:
inggit ka lang. Six figures salary ka rin ba gaya niya? In pesos na lang...
She replied:
ganun na ba ang batayan ngayon? six figures salary? how sad. but anyway, if you need to know, i earn P145K / month here in the philippines from one of my income sources. i don't need to go abroad and be a domestic helper to earn that much. so yeah, you earn that much, i also know that cost of living there is high too. i've traveled abroad if you must know. and i didn't need a french spouse to do so. do you know how much my parents earn? maglalaway ka lang. but i dont go around discussing it like you do. how classless.

and, if you or your daughter have some extra euros, it would help to spend some of it to try and improve your appearances. baka maging mas marketable pa kayo than you are right now. kung mataas na sweldo hangad niyo, maganda rin na investment iyon. again, its just my opinion. its up to you.

however, i'm just happy that our family can book long flights together, and we travel business class. have you been to cancun? zurich? st. petersburg? you should also try those places. you'll realize na pang-masa ang marbella.
if you're in manila, try to hook up with some fashion consultants. your make-up is a bit loud for your age. also, tell your daughter to use some lightening cream. france should have a lot of good brands. i have a favorite boutique in paris if you want to go there.

Hi, Sana ay hindi mo maliitin ang mga maids na katulad namin. Marami sa amin ang nag-sacrifice na mahiwalay sa aming pamilya para kumita. Alam mo naman sa bansa natin, kahit college graduate ay hindi sigurado ang trabaho. Masaya rin ang maging maid dahil nadadala kami ng amo namin kung saan-saan. Nakapunta rin ako ng Marbella, Barcelona, at Pamplona. Magaganda ang lugar na iyon at higit sa lahat, libre ang bakasyon. Gusto ng mga Pranses ang mga Pinay maids dahil masisipag kami at malilinis magtrabaho. Minsan nga, merong mga Pranses na pinapakasalan ang mga maid na Pinay dahil sa aming mga katangian. Tao rin kami pero kahit hindi ganun kaganda ang tingin ng iba sa aming trabaho, ito ay isang mahusay at makabuluhang trabaho.

jane, i don't have anything against maids. i have a lot of things against people who can't take suggestions. if you don't like a suggestion, its fine. you dont have to fight back with your life to defend it. (or write a blog post, hehehe)

francesca, just a friendly advise. just because you earn 6 figures in pesoses doesnt mean anything. and i think you should not put office people down. i have a friend in monace, she is a banker and works at an office - she is earning $10K euros/month as base salary. her bonuses can easily be double her base salary. do the math.
hindi lang mag-maid ang magandang trabaho sa monaco, even for pinays. pleassssssssssseeeeeeeee!

I can't help but to feel sorry for that mata-pobre. You may be well off but seems to me that you are a very unhappy person, bitter and perhaps no life. Isa ka sa karamihang mga pilipino na masapawan lang ng kaunti ay ngitngit na. I pity you talaga. Siguro mukha kang mongoloid na nakalunok ng placenta. Kahit na ba kasing ganda at kasing kinis sya ng mga artista wala sya karapatan mamintas sa itsura ng sinu man. She is claiming that her family is well off and she earns big bucks bakit kaya hindi nya gamitin yung pera nya sa pang enroll on proper manners para naman mag ka ¨class¨ sya.

1.one middle-aged pinay, kulang na lang iwagayway passport niya to show she was a german citizen. sobrang makidaldalan dun sa katabi nya na foreigner, sa stewardess, to everyone who cared to listen to her. couldn't she tell everyone was just being polite and at a certain point she needed to shut up and not provide too much information? airports after all are very impersonal places. the worst I thought was when she asked me to configure her entertainment screen to display the german version of the movies she wanted to watch, with English subtitle daw. Naloka ako don! Pahirapan ba sarili nya? Or if she was just trying to practice her German, maniniwala na sana ako, kaso ang ingay nya ha as if she really wanted to announce her German connection. I thought she was tacky.
2. there was this pinay, ang ganda pa namang pinay. Obviously she has lived away from the Philippines for quite some time. she asked which part of PI I come from. I told her where, when it was my turn to ask, sabi nya taga-Norway daw siya. Sabi ko, ha? Ba’t ang galling mo mag-bisaya? She wasn’t even aware she was conversing with me in Visayan, taka nga ako how she knew I spoke the language (tagalog po kami but I grew up in Mindanao, so I am conversant in both languages). “Ay, taga-Leyte gyud ko sa tinuod, pero 12 years na ko sa Norway”. OA, di ba? Just because you are already a citizen of another country, it doesn’t mean you can not qualify questions pertaining to your origin. Lalo na if you have spent more time in your own native country than in your adopted country.
3. sa duty free shop may isang pinay, tinanong ako, “ano na ba sinisigrilyo ng mga tao ngayon dito? As in, “mga tao” ha? Sabi ko, ilang taong na po ba kayong di nakakauwi? 5 years na daw. San po kayo galling? Sa London daw. San pa ho uwi nyo? Sa Bacolod daw. Eh, it hasn’t exactly been that long ago di ba? At saka wala bang internet sa London o sa Bacolod? Wala ba siyang communication sa family and friends nya? Ewan ko lang, baka naman ako ang OA umunuwa.

pero wala naman akong experience with households in other countries who can afford domestic staff, to draw that conclusion.

may experience din ako while on board may pinay ang lamog! yong anak nya ang panghi, tapos uncomfortable yong bata kasi siguro hindi siya malinis, kaya umiiyak palagi. or may sakit. sumuka na tumae pa. pero ang general impression ko di talaga malinis yong nanay, kasi siya mismo looks unkept. tapos lakad ng lakad sa eroplano, chika ng chika. hay ang amoy sa cabin, terrible! i could barely held my tongue to tell her off. tapos ininterview pa ako, ano raw trabaho ko, purpose of travel, etc etc. di na lang asikasuhin anak niya.

That girl is not classy as she claims to be--she criticized you & your daughter way too much. Why can't she just focus on the good side--that there are Pinays doing well in other countries. A true classy person doesn't need to brag about what they do for a living, if they fly by private jet (business class lang pala sya eh--kami private jet, hahaha, patulan ba)...and talagang Pinoy nga sya--marami sa atin, masyado matapobre, masyado pintasera. Kung di ka maputi, di ka maganda. Amazing ignorance!
