Robber! !

Thursday, June 28, 2007
Voleur in french, meaning, magnanakaw.
Thats our topic for today.
In Monaco, the security is ALWAYS too tight. There are cameras all over the place including elevators.
Last Grand Prix de Monaco, there were lots of tourists(and robbers) but Police Monaco were all alert. In every corners and roads they posted security police and French Gendarmeries (Police force)helped secured the area.

Monday, I was working in my Boss' place, Butler was cleaning the Bentley car in the garage, while our Boss was reading his newspaper in his room. I was in my "office"(laundry area) when a panting (from running) 35 years old man run to me and told me (in french language): "dont scream, shhh, dont be afraid, I will not hurt you."

I was shock, he was all sweating and he even took a bottle of St Yorke mineral water of the Boss from the fridge!

I told him: "No, you dont stay inside the house, my Boss is in here, he got a gun! You better get out!
The man asked : "where is the way, I go,but dont scream, dont panic, dont worry, i will not hurt you."

I was trembling, if he got a knife, I'm dead!
He went to the office of my Boss, bump himself to the mirror, open the door and ran to the garden. I followed him to make sure, he would not take anything!
Ow, my Boss house' furnitures costs my few months salary!!!
The man jump to the fence of the garden, and I lost sight of him.

I run to the garage, in panic, called Butler: "Butler, there's a man inside the house, now he was out!"
Butler said: "What?! I dont understand you!"
"There's a man, he went inside the house, and run away to the garden, quick!"

Butler went inside the house and he saw Monaco Security personnels in the garden, with radio, looking for someone.
Butler called the Monaco Security Police(dealing with alarms security,in case it brrrnnng) and Butler asked him if he was looking for someone.
The security police said: "Yes, a man in white tshirt."
I screamed: "There he is, Monsieur Agent, in the bushes of the garden, there, there!!!
Our Boss went our of his room, asking: "whats going on???!"
The security Police said: Someone entered your house, sir, seen on camera, so we followed him, and he is in your garden!"
The Boss asked me and Butler: "Why you both didnt knock me in my room???!!"
We didnt answer.
Eventually, a police car arrived, with four Policemen and took position, told the man to hold on, or we shoot you.
The robber get down on his stomach, in the grass of the garden and Police asked me: "Is he the one that entered the house?"
"Yes, Sir."

The police dumped him inside the police car, asked the Boss if anyhting had been stolen, and I answered: nothing.
The Policeman took the Boss' name and phone number, in case they find something against the man, they would invite me as a witness.

Blimey!

Butler told me with excitement and pride: Tomorrow, you will be in the news. I will watch you in Monaco tv channel, with a photo: he's there, there..!

Ang buang, tinatawanan ako!

Ang takot ko talaga!

I told Michel, he said: "what an exciting morning..!"

Something about Butler

Friday, June 22, 2007
Did you miss stories about Butler?
Here are his humours, again .

Butler was about to change his expired French national identity..Due to NEW french integration laws, all (non French )residents in France MUST speak french)

Eh,I joked: "Olah, Butler, the City hall do not release renewals if you dont speak french properly.
He was annoyed, lol!
"Et oui, Butler, the law applies to all, french national or not huh!One speak french properly, he/shewill have papers renewed!

He avoided me,thinking, why should I discuss with you, lol

Later, he concentrated on his work, he took a pen and wrote the vegetables and fruits that the Boss told him to buy:

Fenouil (he wrote: Funui)
Carottes (he wrote Karots)
Pommes (Pink Lady apples)( he wrote Pom)
Then he put on another piece of paper, reminding him of watering the grass later:
arrosage( he wrote arosadse)

Can you do better than that, lol

I corrected him and he said: "It doesnt matter, its me who will read my writing, as long as I know what I will buy (or do), thats all I want!"!(he was starting to boil again, lol)
I went back to my "office" before white foam starts on his side lips again
.

Later, I teased him again:(Pasaway ako eh, hehe)
"Do you know Butler, that carottes in French language is feminine?"

Butler replied: "Sorry, but I dont see any Karot wearing a skirt..!"
(he become wise! unbelievable, okey, he won. I went back to my office...)

Then the doorbell rang, this is our Something about Butler story No. 2.

Butler ran to the door. It was his Thai gf asking the key of their studio, because the Thai left her keys inside.

She was wearing a white short cotton dress ,(wow, ganda babae) on her sexy heeled sandals on her motorbike! (she managed to drive it?) I chatted with her and when she's about to go I told her:

"Carefull to all frenchmen around huh?"

She answered: "If there's someone with money, I'll go with him..."(she winked at me)

Butler heared it all and wanted to strangle her, lol.
She ran to her motorbike and drove off!

Ah well, Butler knows now, where he stands eh?

After that Butler went to the garden to clean the grasses and swept all falling leaves. That goes our "Butler something story No.3."

Later, he went inside the house, he was stinking with his sweat and the air coming in, brought the stink!!! I hardly breath, puhhh!

I told him(politely, kuno): "Butler, if you can spray yourself with deodorant, the house of the Boss would be smelling better everytime you come in.
You see, I just cleaned everywhere...If you dont mind, Butlerrr..!"

Next scene: Butler eyes wide shut ready to attack me, lol!

Today, politely, he told me:
"Francesca, I bought my body spray. You will not complain anymore, I hope.
Is there anything else I can do for you ???!!"(in his roaring voice, lol)

(Uy, he's using deodorant??! He's becoming a civilized man..!)
I looked at his body spray deodorant (like a wine expert looking at a bottle of St Emilion,) I declared:
"Cheap Brand deodorant!"( 2.50€ something )

"Butler, with your salary, I expected a "Hugo Boss" from you!"

Muntik na naman kami mag away, haha!

More next time, just keep online!

Our Names

Monday, June 18, 2007
I was invited by Tina (KK) to have my children's names and its meaning posted.

Here they are:

1.Anna Lorraine, 23,:
I like the name and it reminds me of 1977 Miss Philippines-Universe Anna Lorraine Kier.
I searched goggles and I found the name Lorraine(read as Luh Rayn) From the name of a region in France which means "kingdom of Lothair". Lothair was a Frankish king, the great-grandson of Charlemagne, whose realm was in the part of France that is now called Lorraine, or in German Lothringen (from Latin Lothari regnum),Lorraine is the first Popular name in Scotland in 19th Century.
Here, click Lorraine France

2. Anna Margarita,19:

The name came from the Miss Philippines Universe 1973:Margie Moran and also Queen Marguerite, of France.

The name was derived also from Latin Margarita, which was from Greek μαργαριτης (margarites) meaning "pearl", probably a borrowing from Sanskrit. The famous name bearer was Queen Margaret I of Denmark, who united Denmark, Sweden, and Norway in the 14th century. The name was also borne by Margaret Mitchell, author of 'Gone with the Wind'.

3.Anjo Louie, 18:

I cant remember how it came that I have the name ANJO LOUIE for my son. What I remembered, I wanted his name to link with his sisters' with A or ANNA, but cant be ANNA as he was a baby boy, haha. So I thought ANJO LOUIE suits him .Then it came that in France, there's a place
Anjou.

The meaning of the name Louie is Famous Warrior
The origin of the name Louie is English and the famous name holder is King Louis of France

My true name is Amalia,
derived from Amalia Fuentes, fav actress ng Nanay ko.Then in France, there's a name Amelie variant of AMALIA (or sometimes of EMILIA). A famous bearer was Amelia Earhart, the first woman to make a solo flight over the Atlantic Ocean.

Some french friends said, I look like Amalia Rodriguez, famous Portuguese singer. Sige na nga!

Basta, with our names linked with French names,
I think, that made us all here in France.LOL

Ganun ata yun?
anyway, what ever name your parents gave you, the personality behind the name always counts.Say mo?

I was interviewed!

Thursday, June 14, 2007
I was interviewed by : Leah of Canada and i would like to share this in my blog.

1. Why did you choose Francesca in France as your blog title? Does it mean something to you? Will you change it to something else?- I was registering to Asawa Forum and found "Francesca" to be a nice username because it is a sweet name. When DP aka Miss T of ASAWA forum encouraged me to create my blog, i stick to the same username.
I liked the name, some forum members/friends said it suits me, so I will not change it to something else".
Trademark ko na yan, hihihi.

2. If given a chance, will you do something else aside from being a worker for Madame?
If given a chance, (I hope)I would like to do the same, how the rich does to make more money. Just a push of a pen, they are raking in thousand/millions of Euros.Sarap sana noh?

But as I am not within their social level, I stay like this.
What I like in my work are: good job security, good pay and benefits,I am inside their warm home(during winter) and an airconditioned home during summer. And the most important is I go home everyday. Permits me to see my family and have a warm dinner with them. If the work requires me to travel with the Boss, I will refuse.I will refer them to someone else instead. So far, I worked with them for three years now, full declared and they respect my rights.House employee lang po yan. Taray no? hihi!

3. Where do you plan to retire and why?
Before, I chose my country Philippines to retire. But as time goes, France became my home country as I adapted myself of the life here and decided to retire here. But I would visit Philippines from time to time ,to see my family and friends.
Who could just ignore Boracay, Cebu, Bagiuo, Bohol, Davao , Manila, plus our own mangoes , buko, suman latik, and inihaw na tilapia ? Taas paa, nakakamay pa? Aber?

4. Butler is one of the famous characters in your blog, do you consider him a friend?
Butler and I had been very good and accomodating to one another since I took back the work. I consider him as a workmate, and for a friend..? Naaahhh!
Attention ha? (Meaning, ingat, lol)

What is it about him that makes him so interesting?
If there is Mr Bean in UK, there is "Butler " in France. That makes him very interesting.
Does he read your blog?
No. He doesnt know about my blog and about him being "the hero" with countless fans.If he is silly, he would love the limelight.
If he is a clever dick, he would be the first to sue me, haha. For money, of course.

5. How is your business doing in the Philippines?
My internet business is going on, good grace, haha. April and June, was non peak, so sales were down. June, where school starts again, it will rake in more money again.Buhay na naman shop.To Lorraine, anak ko, she is the Internet Manager/Technician:

Pautang!

Do you have an advice for those wannabe business people?

Internet shop rentals in Philippines is a good business. Not many in Philippines can afford to buy a computer , but they can afford to rent a few pesos for their school project, connecting to relatives abroad with webcam , or have fun playing online games. The computers do not get spoiled like food. In business, one must build a good reputation, and stay within the laws of the land like: The Barangay, the cityhall and Dept of Trade and Industry .Stay within its laws, no one can say bad or blackmail the owner.

Do YOU want to be interviewed?

Interview rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Sali na!

What a pity, 70€

Sunday, June 03, 2007
First, thank all who appreciated the "new look" of my blog.
I commend Dangkin

" who did the good job, haha. She is the "salarin".
Libre pa niya ginawa, labor of love ba.
To Mel, you are the best!

Second, I thank all my guests/friends on the topic: " hosting and own domain" below .
The comments are very informative. You see, I am still a "Debutant" on blogging, and I just "get by" as the days goes by.
As usual, the same principle applied: sit down and calculate before doing the jump.

Thanks again. I owe you all a lot!

Third, to the bloggers that "special mentioned" my blog as:
"The blogger post that made them think"....
Wow, I didnt realize, theres some impact! eto sila ? click nyo what did they enjoy to my blog:
Lazarus
Cheska
Girlie

and if you did tag me also, post comment about it please, para alam ko.

no ba to? parang acknowledgements sa first book ah, haha.

Okey, we go direct to my topic.about the 70€!
And, yun lang muna. Kayo naman, gusto nyo always, punuin ng hilarious post blog ko.Isa isa lang. Naka salang ang suman ko sa kalan...

One day, My employer and I went to Monaco grocery to buy the stuffs we need in the house. She just told me, in five minutes, we go together.

EH ?

So in five minutes, I have to rush whats in my hands , grab my bag, my keys and change shoes."Ready to go, Madame", I called her.

We went to the garage where she took the BMW sports topdown. Ay oo, to go to grocery, naka BMW sports car lang naman. She drove, I was in the passenger seat.Top down, because of fine fresh weather. Feeling ko ako Madame, siya driver ko, lol.Shhh...

And as she drives, she told me, "I dont go to groceries. I dont fancy the idea, so you choose, push the cart and i just pick up things that I personally need."

"Ok madame..."

Before it was her driver that does the shopping. But driver was sacked. Personal reason, daw, sabi ni secretary, nag laho na lang si driver, haha.

When we were done, its a full cart, and the cashier asked us our fidelity card.
La. Nada. Nothing. Rien.

The cashier said: "would you like to have one?"
Madame said: "what is the advantage?"
Cashier said: "you will recieve discounts, priorities on fast lanes and will give you points for items as part of your fidelity to us.Please fill up these forms..."
Madame said: "No thank you."
Cashier insists,Madame said no.
I was watching: the push and deny from both.Politely, of course.

Eventually, cashier gave up.
Madame said: "we are always loyal here, even without your card."(pa assure ni Madame ke cashier.)

Meanwhile, I was calculating, with those expensive stuffs Madame were paying, she could have some rebates (if she signed the fidelity ek ek) of at least 70€!

"Akin na lang..!" My mind screamed.

But, with the rich, what is 70€(4000pesos)They went to St Tropez to avoid the Grand Prix noise, they took a private jet.Two hours only by car distance!

But with the poor me, hey, that 70€ its a lot!
But my Madame dont want to sign any ek ek application forms.
Its beyond dignity.
Some "friends" might saw her, signing those for few discounts and might gossips: Is she scratchng the bottom of her wallet already??!!!Or "she must be also collecting bottles of ketchup and sell if back for few bob!haha.

Reputation at stake, you see, hehe.

But still, I felt: sayang yung 70€!

Surely ,my Boss and I, are not playing in the same court eh?...
