Our Boss left to go sailing. After I made sure they were gone, I went to report to Butler where he was in the kitchen preparing dinner.
"Butler, the Boss is gone."
Butler answered: So what? If you want, you can leave too, but I will not cover for you.Bwehehehe.
Ang buang, inasar ako.
Boss asked me, if it is holiday in Monaco tomorrow, August 15.
"Yes, Sir, France, Italy and Monaco are on holidays tomorrow."
"Ok, then you and Butler were off.I go down to the garden to tell Butler."
Later,I asked Butler: "Why did you pretend not knowing the holiday tomorrow. You knew it, a month ago ha!!"
Butler grinned like a possesed evil:"Politics, cant you see?"
"What politics, you dont have a brain for it. Its crawling!! You crawl!!"
Hinabol ako.Ehhhheekk!
Sunday, whole family with 20 filipinos,(we were total of 6 cars) went to a french friend's villa in the mountain of La Gaude, Cannes Sur Mer. They have a swimming pool. The french couple who owned the house were surprised of the food we brought.

Two boxes of BBQ from Grocery
3 rice cooker full of cooked rice
Huge bowl of Green Salad
Boiled green string beans with chopped celeries

No wine, Lolo took mineral water...
Some went to the pool, others chat, karaoke, eat, drink...
At 5pm we packed up and would like to leave to her:
The rice, the bbq, some hamburgers, etc etc.
She was horrified, LOL
We insisted, she can have the rice as fried, etc etc.
She politely said, thank you, but, you can bring it home...
So we broughtt home half of the meals.
I asked Michel, why she looked horrified of the food.
Lolo said, "the french eats like birds.
And eats rice only, once in a year."
"And hambugers!!?"
"They dont eat."
She even asked if thats how filipinos eat.
And Lolo answered: Now you know.
It must be a torture to her to see all those food, lol
Then I heard her son of four years old saying:
Maman, Le Marron Petit Philipin tombait dans la piscine!!!
(The brown little filipino fell down in side the pool!)
Ang cute.
Marron. Brown.

Post a CommentPinoy talaga with the food like it's always fiesta, sana naki-kain ako! Funny naman the little kid but maybe he meant "marrant" - the funny little pinoy fell down in the pool :)
I should have visited you Francesca ! Ang sarap naman ng mga handa nyo ! We Pinoys love to eat, syempre especially with friends around, good music, kuwentuhan at kantahan ;)!
Ang saya-saya naman! Sarap kumain :).
Kaya, visiting Pinas is a struggle. I am always faced with a mother who wants to cook for the whole country when its only 7 of us in the family for dinner (my parents, brother and sis in law, sister, me and Dutchman).
So I completely understand the horrified French woman, lol. She is also probably thinking about the mess, who will clean after, where, for what, and when is she going to use the food after (in her head, its not fresh anymore), where is she going to store them (in her head, dagdag lang ng work), etcetera.

magugulat talaga ang mga frances sa dami at type ng food ng mga pinoy. pinoy loves to eat talaga, diba?
It was like fiesta pala. I'm sure you enjoyed a lot. It's funny that the French woman thinks of it differently... (or shall I say she was fascinated by the volume of foods she saw) Hahaha...
Wala siyang magawa, outnumbered siya sa mga Pinoy who are there...

haha, dp, ganun din pala sa mama mo?
When I was in antipolo, i was the same, if marami handa, ibig sabihin, big time na.
horrified talag siya, kasi iniiwasan nila too much meat, then may hamburgers pa, haha
sa cleaning the mess, kami na, hugas plato, mop ng floor na basa by kids coming in from the pool, joke pa nga ng isa:
ano ba, ate narda, baka naman mag floor wax ka pa sa sahig!
