Whats new in France?

No News, No Good News.

The Government claims to have found jobs for 47-thousand young unemployed, in the six months since thousands of youths in the suburbs rioted. France has a chronic youth unemployment problem, with as many as 30 percent of under-25s jobless.

Yehey, wala nang mag ra riot, busy na silang lahat to sweat to "work"!Hope they stay long at work, these kids!

A report into religious cults in France has raised concerns over the treatment of children, and use of alternative medicine. The study was launched by an inter-ministerial committee set up to monitor alternative religions.

Ayayay... Parents, look after your children...

President Jacques Chirac has suggested a total ban on smoking, as he launches the second phase of his anti-cancer plan. The 1.7 billion euro, five year strategy was launched in 2003. Later today, the President will outline measures to cut the use of tobacco, alcohol and cannabis.

Sarap na nang fresh air masinghot mo than smoke na na kakakanser! Agree ako sa smoking ban. Pede ba even in private, Lolo Chirac? Pleeease?(wide grin)

About French Immigration Laws:

In the news, (French TV)TF1, a family of four from Columbia migrate here 5 years ago, the children are in college, free tuition, the father and mother works, undeclared, but they are paying tax d'habitation (resident tax) They reason, they are perfectly integrated but no papers. They will be deported end of June 2006 back to Columbia. They circulate signatures asking to support their petition to the immigration to have legal papers to stay. They were asked if they will be going home in Columbia in June, they said, no, we will stay here even as illegal immigrants.

I can understand them, whats life in Columbia for them, anyway?

Two days ago, I heard in the news that those residents of France having ten years residency, cannot renew their "titre de sejour" unless they know the french language.Michel confirmed to me the news,as he heard it also while driving his van.
Delikado Lola nyo, this August 2006, renewal na naman ng papel koh!

Hope this new law will effect later after ma master ko na french language koh!
In Paris daw, hindi na nag rerenew if a filipino with resident card do not speak french. Here in Beausoliel, near Monaco, some of our kababayans took french lessons in university ASAP!
Olaaaah!
Even those who just got three months temporary residents to stay in France, can ONLY have the temporary card be renewed if they speak the language!

Mama mia!Is this true?

Pasingit lang: The Pope is approving the use of condoms,as seen at CNN news.Maybe I am wrong, please correct me na lang.

What do you think about these topics, girls?
Kaka apekto ano? Not the condom issue ha? LOL

MY EXAMS IN DRIVING IN FRANCE: CATEGORY CODES OF THE ROAD

These are sample exams and there are lots to know more every time, 4x a week.
Im still in this codes, answering theoritic questions to pass. So far, I am on 5 -6 errors,(for 6months, kakahiya!) out ot 40 questions and the school still do not want me to drive, until I know all the codes. I showed my intl DL issued in Phils, but they said, you will take a road tests and codes of the roads exams first before issuance.
Times changed! Before, without these tests, a filipino can change the phil DL to French DL, easy. Not anymore...
The photos are the exams, in category: Overtaking (depassement in french)

Other categories are: signalisation, eclairage, priorities, notion pratiques, etc etc.
Michel tried the exams, he failed having 15 errors out of 40, he had been driving for 50 years!
I showed the exams to my french friends , they tried, I got better scores, LOL
And they speak and understand french language already !!!

The codes are very difficult. The french language added to it. How can I pass it quick! waaah.
Girls, if you are the driver, what is your answer to these photos? Heeeelp!

1.Do I have to leave the priority to the white van? Yes or No?

2.I finished overtaking, should I stay in my way or go to the right?

3.Can I overtake this red car on my left?

4. Should I blow the horn to warn them and overtake, or stop behind, wait until they finish talking.

Whats your answer to these?

Here is the acceleration lane photos:

sorry girls, photo not clear copy lang from the book kasi.

photo taken today at Nice east acceleration lane when Lolo and I passed by.click on photo for bigger size.

The red triangle is " give way" signs sa acceleration lane.So cars from this acceleration lane must give way to cars from the motorway.Click photo for bigger size.

He is with us for three weeks because my employers are still in Munich, Germany.I packed his bed, his popo box, his food and even his toy, a plastic mouse.LOL.
For two days, he was sulking! He doesnt want holidays, but what can he do, no one is in the apartment in Monaco,if he is left alone there and Monaco police knows that, my madame will have penalty. So he is with us, thats why WE CANT GO SOMEWHERE for holidays, waaaahhh. After the sulking (hunger strike for two days), he eats, discuss , visiting my cupboards of clothes and play...
He is playing with Michels' rubber shoes.

Nudging it with his nose...

Smelling the inside...

He dozed off! (SHOCKED) Why?

Poor cat...

questions about friend with others

Monday, April 17, 2006
"saka di ba ang daming bawal sa jehovah's (organisation )like di ka pwdeng makipagkaibigan kundi mo kasama sa religion?"

No, this is not true. The Jehovah's Witnesses are friendly and peaceable people, because they are trained to be. We do the preaching work and if we show bad examples, who would believe us on what we say or preach? Of course we have our own flaws or mistakes, here and there, sometimes me almost everyday, LOL but we try to correct it and be at peace with everyone.

What the Jehovahs' Witnesses do not mixed people with, are those who are doing bad habits that are not pleasing to God.And if we go along with these bad habits, we cannot represent as His Witnesses. It is our own standing before God that is important, because we carry His name. How many Christians think of taking care/mindful of God's name?
Here's the bible principle that decided them to be discreet:
ICorinthians 15:33 says: Do not be misled, Bad association spoils useful habits.
Psalms 1:1 Happy is the man that has not walked in the counsel of the wicked ones. And in the way of sinners has not stood.
It doesnt mean to be self righteous, it is to protect themselves from bad habits that would turn them away from serving and loving God.Yap, thats how serious it is to be one.The training and discipline is great. Is there anyone knows a Jehovah's witness in jail? None.
Michel do not smoke, so he looks young until now. How many wants to be in good health and in good company like Michel and I?

Comments or more questions, pls use comments box.

Questions about blood

"pag may naaccidente daw sa isa sa mga jehovah(witness) ay di pwedeng lagyan ng blood dahil bawal daw sa inyo?" A friend ask me today via internet (in my yahoo offline messages)
This questions had been asked also to me during my visits to other filipina community in Monaco and France, or my children asked me when at home in Philippines.
Question 1: Why we do not take blood transfusion when there's a need or abstain from blood.
Answers:
First, the blood that the hospital gives is not fresh but refrigerated and for health reasons, some blood are carrrying deseases like: hepatitis, malaria, and the dreaded Aids. One cannot be sure these days despite rigid tests.
Second,In replacement of blood, we can take Saline Solution,Ringers Solution and Dextran to be used which all hospitals can provide. It is more healthy and doctors agreed with that if patients wants to have it instead of blood. Some hospitals pushed to put the blood, it is good business... or too many blood on stock, they dont know what to do.
Third, Some doctors can recuperate your own blood and replace it back to you during operation and the patient can be sure it has no bacterial or viral infections .There is a machine available to recuperate owns blood and put it back during operations.
Fourth, during operation, there is a procedure that doctors knew: a powder to put to the affected area to stop the bleeding.Ask any doctor/surgeon, they know about that.
Fifth:, it is a Bible principle. Christians are advised to abstain from blood same as abstaining from fornication, sacrifices for idols, etc etc. It is found in Acts 15:28,29.
Sixth::Genesis 9:3,4 forbids eating blood of animals.God's laws never change.
Seventh:: Only sacrificial use of Blood has ever been approved by God (Leviticus 17:11,12)
Eight::About Christ death... Hebrew 9:11-14, 22
You may refer these all in your bible, if true.

These are bible principles obeyed by Jehovah's Witnesses to protect them from viral and bacterial infections.

HOLY WEEK

Wednesday, April 12, 2006
Ano plano nyo sa holy week? Ano? Stay in front of PC? Mama mia! Lalaki wetpu nyo niyan, hihihi.
Bakasyon time ni Lola and Lolo nyo. From Friday, to Monday, thats four days.
Sorry, naisingit ko ito, kasi yong other blog, very serious don, kaya, siguro walang pumupunta don, LOL
Eto, 5 mins lang ito of your time, kasi, oy, alam ko three hours kayo sa chat, sa tsika, sa blog, sa google search, pero hindi nio na get ang habit to fed your heart and mind of another food, "spiritual food", na libreng bigay na regalo ng ating Diyos. But if you do, oy, sama ako ng lima dyan.
Seriously,
These topic, out natin muna ang religion affiliation. Lets just discuss this big day.
The Memorial of Christ' Death.
Eto na, 5 mins lang ito of your time, open your bible (teka meron ba kayo ?Hihihi) of course, meron! even sa hotel merong bible, kayo pa?
Kahit anong version or language, pa yan, buksan nyo sa:
Luke 22: 19 and 20.Ano sinasabi diyan sa Bibliya mo?
Then sa 1 Cor 11:26 Ano ang sinabi ni Apostol Pablo?
Ano sinasabi sa John 3:16?
Sagutin nyo sa comments ha?Please.Girls, assignments...( smile)

Bakit ko ba nababanggit pa ito even sa blog ko?(Oo nga naman, mama mia!)Not to glorify myself ha? Believe me,di ko kelangan yan...

Sagot: para alamin nating lahat ang dahilan, bakit nag seselebrate tayo ng Pagkamatay ni Jesus Christ...or ang other term nito is: Memorial /Passover.If may mali ako, korek nyo na lang at naku, Lola nyo is still struggling pa.
Then ask yourself, bakit kelangan pa kasi mamatay si Jesus Christ then i celebrate?
Kung alam mo sagot, ala, sige, share na rito. Alam ko marami sa inyo nag babasa ng biblia nyo... Pinoy pa, 80% CHRISTIANS sa bansa natin ang mga Pinoy.
We will set aside any religion affiliation in this topic.Whatever you are a member of, Pakisagot lang po.

Why do we celebrate the holy week ?

Summer in Philippines!

Tuesday, April 11, 2006
April month in Philippines is the hottest. People , mostly living in the city are craving to have a dip on a swimming pool or a beach.
My daughter said, April especially Holy Week (April 10-16) is the worst week to go to holiday. Boracay beach is pretty much crowded. Lots of tourists flooding the beach, plus our kababayans from abroad who went home for the Lenten Season.
Hotels and restaurants are high in prices. Even malls are full up for those who enjoyed the free aircon provided.
So why stay at home, when your fan (electric or manual "pamaypay") cannot keep up??!
Daughter said I qoute:kya nga sabi sa balita kung mag boboracay ka at gusto mo mag bilad sa araw bimpo nlng kasya !
(only your face towel can fit in the area!)lol
To control the irritable heat, my daughter bought a plastic swimming pool from Robinsons Galleria Mall. She told me she paid it for 500 pesos (10 euros) and three adults can fit in. She ordered a drum of water from the ration truck and pay 30 pesos.Remember we lived in Antipolo and water is by ration from a huge truck.
I consoled her to charged the expenses to Michel ! lol
So they enjoy the cool pool without spending too much in travelling to beaches. They even stayed on the pool until midnight as in the evening the air is dry, humid and hot!
France scheduled August month for the french people to go to holiday. And Michel and I benefited from that.
Michel spent all his three years holidays in Philippines! Yehey!
August 2003 , Michel and I went to Boracay and the beach was almost empty, we had the beach on our own!
Rain poured but we enjoyed it like it is a shower and we were floating in a warm sea water. There was no rush on airports, restaurants are not busy, hotels flights and package tours were on discounts. We got the service we wanted without trouble and long wait!
August 2004, it was our wedding, we went to Baguio stayed at Camp John Hay, we enjoyed a five star hotel stay for three days for half the price!
Even the buses fare Manila to Bagiou was discounted and we are very few passengers inside.
August 2005 we went to Cebu and Davao.
During April, our poor kababayans going home from Manila to other provincial destinations are suffering the rush, missed the seats on planes, buses or trains, some even lost their wallets and pasalubong especially big can of biscuits! Uso yan sa Manila!
Now, do you still plan to go home on April? Be ready for the rush, the cost, experience and for the heat, bring your sunglass, hat and sunblock!
My tips: Mcdo and Jolibee are not busy on August, as the month is a "schooldays" month.(wink, and wink and more wink hehe) You may schedule your trip on this month.
Finally: I missed this seafood and tropical fruits in Philippines!!! Waaahhh!
The santol bangkok is tempting...click photo for bigger shot

Its is ot always the same taste eating philippine food in France. Like drinking champagne in Antipolo.
What do you think?

Letter to Mama

Thursday, April 06, 2006
Note: This is a letter of a 12 year old daughter of a Fil-west couple to remind them of a promise made. She likes to have her own horse. Promises had been made, nothing had been granted. I find the letter too straight! Mama mia. If I recieved this letter, I would hide...The filipina showed this letter to me and I was laughing after.
it was written in french but I post it here in english: (hope my translation is correct)
When you read this letter, you will know how I feel. Since when I was very small, I have been asking for a horse and really, after all the promises that you gave, you left me hopeless.
You, Im sure , you dont understand that its been years of hoping and when other person offers you ,that you got to ask since all the time.Because when you want something, you buy it, your desires do not depend to other person.
But me, yes!
So think a bit, how would you feel if since some years now, you still keep me hoping.I tell you Mama, its is very sad and it is depressing!
A lot!

Marie Antoinette
who always wish since what is to anyone to have her horse and will not share it with others.
Im crying...(she added at the end)

That made me laugh, then I realised HEY! she is right, about the importance of a yes or no.
(Will you keep your promise to your daughter? How much is a horse, the keeping and where it will be put in an urban area like Monaco?
Today, the mother said to me , her girl bought already some gadgets, food and vitamins, shampoo for the horse and even a whip! LOL And her husband said they will shop for the horse in the net, so i give them this link horse shop

One internet offers a 10,000 euros for a horse, two years old.Excluding some eks eks.
I will not promise to my children anything without calculating the future outcome visually first before giving my yes.)

All parents, what say you?

LATEST FROM BUTLER

He called me. Just a few hellos. Then I asked him hows' the new lady working with him. He said, she is nice, but you are more jolly. She is Italian.

Eh?

I gave three filipinas to my former Boss, and he took an Italian from Vintimille, Italy!
I asked my friends (french ladies) their opinions why the Boss took an Italian when Filipinas are serious workers than them.

They said: "Your Boss hired the Italian on the cheap! Italians take lower salary than Asiatics. Asiatics are expensive, because they are considered imported. Most of the Europeans doesnt know how to work in the house, and Asiatics are getting easy employment than them because of hardwork and patience Asiatics (notably filipinas) displayed these qualities to employers."

Korek!

True, my Italian Boss is ever kuripot and he took advantage, while I was off from employment, he will take someone who will accept a low salary. In a way, he was happy I went away, saves him few euros every month. I wonder if he really saves some euros, girls...lol

If a Boss hired someone who doesnt know how to work, is it a good deal for the Boss, and for the company?

Hope Butler can cope up.
Let you know, girls when I see him...

Springtime is here

Sunday, April 02, 2006

We bought some flowers to change my winter to spring flowers for our terrace:
This is the shop that sells all types of flowers and plants and even pets, in St Isidore, Nice

Michel giving a helping hand to put all of the flowers in the car.He did his part, I will do the planting when arrive home.

Total of ten pots of red flowers plants, and a pot of orchid.

Orchids nicely settled in our salon...Hoping the flowers lasts!
We dont have any appointment this weekend, the flower and plants shop was open on sundays, I took advantage to nudge Michel to go there, hehe.
Weather in Nice is 18° today and the bright sun was gone at 9PM! No wonder all bars and coffee shops in Nice were still full of people having sunshine.
Hope everyone will have a nice springtime ahead!
