Dealing decisions

Monday, February 27, 2006
There are two ways to go. Which way is for you?

In life you can make your own decisions or let other people make
those decisions for you.
Being Above The Influence is about staying true to yourself and not letting people pressure you into being less than you. So be yourself.
Or be something less. It's your call.
(Words taken from tickle.)

my thoughts:

I have been suggested by lots of so called good advisers how to deal my life properly. I thank them for the good intentions, but in a way, I still do what I got to do. If I make a decision, I make sure I win. I can make mistakes from time to time, but if I can avoid it, I will. I learn not be bothered what others say bad things about me in what I decide (marriage, relationship, financial etc, ect).

Another thing, I dont run after people to be recognize as a good person. Whatever I do to people, they never appreciated , they never get satisfied, anyway. My life is mine, the mistakes I made, I take the consequences. The more I run to friends to keep them, the more I dont see them. For me it is blackmailing. If one do not like me, what can I do, I cant please everybody, hehe.

Also,I look after my interests, because no one will.If they are jealous, I cant stop them.We are living in a free world, where jealousy exists and part of freewill. Those daw with thinking abilities are hated, anyway.

I prefer to be envied than pitied.(Michelism-> Michel's words)

Dealing money:

I work, put money in the bank,(not to anybody) so that when I need something, I got a friend that will not turn me down, the bank manager. If i loan my earnings to a friend, and I cant find her anymore (as usually, they are hiding after the loans)I lost my money. And my friend.Better to lose a friend, than losing both.

And you?Which way are you? Do you decide because of other's influence, or you decide because you dont want to offend the adviser?

Wanna try this scam?

Friday, February 24, 2006
Maybe you all now saturated with that photos. I am going to tell you a story . Please allow me. Needs your opinion on the matter.

I met a filipina in the train. She works in Monaco, like me. She earns nicely with an Italian employer. A relative in Philippines, asked her help to finance her niece to go to France via tourist visa. An agency was hired. She paid 400,000 pesos.

The time her niece flew to France, the agency personnel took care of her nicely until the airport. The niece passed through the xray scanner and the airline boarding.
The time she is about to pay her 550 pesos terminal fee to the immigration (Manila airport) the immigration noticed she got a passport with Germany residence, and when the Immigration looked at the photo attached,it was brand new. The residence is isssued 8 years ago, but the photo is digital, shiny and well developed. Hehehehe.

So this poor filipina in Monaco has to pay the travel expenses loaned in usury, while the agency people ran away with her money. Meanwhile her niece was still in Manila, cannot fly anymore because of Fraud.

The agency reasoned to them, well, you know ,we brought her until the airport...

Fuerteventura , Spain

Fuerteventura map

From Gran Canaria to Fuerteventura Island,Spain, we took this boat "ARMAS" cost 137euros for two passengers round trip (two hours and half ride)We left 7am back at 9pm.The rear end is open for Tourist's cars (if they wish )to bring from one island to another. We stayed at Playa Morro del Jable, lots of restaurants and resort hotels (up to 5 stars Kempinski, Melia and Elba golf club resorts along Corralejo.

Inside the boat, is like sitting in an airplane.

Fuerteventura ("strong winds" in Spanish) is an island, but look like I am landing in Planet Mars. All dead mountains, no plants, no animals. This photo is taken when we arrive in the Port.

But the beach is fantastic, strong winds though, but the sun is nastily hot,I became bronze color in just a day stay.No bathing suit polka dot for Michel (sorry to disappoint you girls). We stay in the golden sand, read books, eat lunch (seafood plate) and banana split ice cream after. Frenchman cannot drink wine with the meal, lol, too hot, or he get drunk quick. We settled for a liter of beer in a mug! Each! Truely refreshing. And with fresh fish, just newly catch from the sea, la vie est tres belle.(life is beautiful)
We spot this , looks alive!

Michel watching tourists feeding a couple of squirrels.

Make your dream come true, visit the Canary Islands. Its worth visiting.

Airport blues to Nice, France

Grabeh sa experience.Masaya ang trip namin to Gran Canaria, 500 photos to share, but ito muna.
Stranded kami sa airport ng two nights!

Our plane from Gran canaria was late to fly for an hour. The time we arrive in Madrid to connect our flight to Genève, Switzerland, the plane is gone. 45 MINUTES AGO!

We are 12 passengers to go to Geneva. All complaining, this and that. The service client gave us a hotelroom , shuttle bus trip, rebooked our ticket to fly the next day. At 8:45 AM business class.

Not bad, we were installed for the night at Tryp Diana, 4 star hotel with dînner includes wine ! yehey, and buffet bfast with 6mins call to our family each passanger.

What is annoying in this, was because we are not only 12 when we board the bus to the hotel. We are two buses full of délayed passengers from All connecting flights.
Thanks to Iberia Airlines, they are the best, grrrrr...

This means, queue at the hotel réception with wailing kids, queue at the dinner restaurant, we finish dining at 12 midnight despite waiters are serving us quick then at breakfast 6:30 AM, rushes here and there, full of Japanense tourists going somewhere.

Imagine the crowd, its like we are in a rally in Palestine! Michel ever cool, said "let them be stupid pushing here and there, we take our seat on the table, quietly, and wait to be served."

Madrid airport is huge as if Baclaran going to Cubao ata !Upon entering the airport we have to pass a lot of walkways, escalators, take a tube(train) for a 3 minute train ride, up again, pass the customs, and voila, settle in at the lounge to board. Cost us 30 mins to do this and that , haggling airport attendants where to go, where is this and that, with luggages in tow! Asar na si Lolo ha!Then 3X you do it as we are on delayed flight.

Passport control for my passport is always a delay plus plus. With Michels' passport, maroon color, they just look at his picture, expiry date, and voila, passed.
With mine, I presented the Titre de Sejour,(residence card stamped on passport) the control immigration would look at it, cant read in french, would ask me my Schengen visa , I said none, I got résidence in France, then he would looked again in my name, photo, then, as it is still my maiden name ,asked me again, and it irrittes Michel, would tell the person, we are married, and I have to show stamp of DFA that I am recognised as married to Michel ...etc etc...
Whew! What a lot of business. At the end I got three Madrid Barajas air port stamps because I was in and out of Madrid air port 3X due to these délayed flights. arrrgghhh!

Michel is slightly jealous because he wanted his passport stamped also, he likes proofs of travel, nyah nya yayayahhh… hihihi. But only "refugees'" passports needs stamps of arrivals, not his...

At the hotel in tryp diana, the réception asked us if we are "matrimonyo" ata yon? If we are married siguro and michel said what? A lady passenger translated to us, if we are married and need a room double or twin. Michel as usual would answer back, "of course, you want us to sleep in seperate bed, that's injustice!"
Those who speaks english in the queue laughed!
Anyway, the girl gave us a room in tryp, facing the views with terrasse.

Meanwhile Michel manage to speak properly: gracias and adios to spanish speaking people!

With given 12 minutes free phone calls,by Iberia, I try to call Phils. Not applicable!
Ngek, sayang.(oo, checky lola nyo, hihihihi)

I try to call UK, but, it was 12 midnight. My sisters in UK would kill me.

I try to call any of my friends in Monaco, Michel told me off, telling me, hey, you dont need to use that free 12 minutes, you know???!!! to whom do you call?
I said: Butler, annoy him with the telephone ringing, bwehehehe.

We watch na lang CNN, about the landslide in Leyte. Reminds me of the same landslide in Cherryhills year 1999.Poor people, another natural disaster. No one can escape natural disasters...When it happens, you are in the middle, you have it.

Comment nyo na lang about this, sino taga Leyte ?

Arriving at Geneva(Ginebra in Spanish, nobayan) at 9am,we cant find one of the bags we checked in. We asked from the Suisse Port office, and they found in their computer, Iberia will be bringing it at 2pm!

Fantastic.9am until 2pm ,wait again! Recommended ko rito Iberia, the best talaga!

We went to Easyjet Booth for a trip to Nice, none ,all seats full up, and the available will be tom. And if we take it, we pay 120 euros on top, plus hotel stay for the night somewhere. It annoyed us even more, we went marching, fuming mad to Iberia client service booth and they said, they cant do anyhting about it. We can scream at them, but nothing they can do.

We went back to Easyjet, they told us to go to Flybaboo Booth (SwissAir)we can take a flight same day to Nice. For 170 euros! We took it, than staying another night here in Geneva, pay a hotel, and meal and bfast. We decide it is the best,Michel is working the next day. We were book to Nice 5pm at last.
170 euros for two passengers. ARAY!

At 5pm departure to Nice, flight was cancelled! Fantastic!Bakeet! Michel was uncontrolable!"C'est pas possible ça!" angal ni Lolo. But, the girl said:

Nice was in big storm, the flight was confirmed cancelled at 730 pm. The flight attendants cant do anything as Nice airport do not allow plane entry as huge, flood, thunder lightning blocking the airport ! Total of 80 flights cancelled on and off at Nice Airport from 4pm !Feb 19,2006.

I called my sister, via my cellphone, she said its true, even her employer cant fly from London to Nice also.Hmmmnn All hotels must be making good money that night eh, paid by the airlines, includes airline employees accom yan ha!

Michel ever so cool(kasi nakabooked na kami, makakauwi na ng Nice) asked the flight attendant, to help us book a hotel na lang. She said, she can arrange us in Crowne Plaza hotel, 2 mins away from air port and a hotel shuttle willl pick us up, and she told us to come back at 8am tom Good.

Upon check in the hotel, the réception said, we dont pay, as flybaboo booked and pay for us, includes breakfast. But if we want dîner we pay at our own pocket. They require our visa card.Pwede na yon, kesa matulog sa airport.

The hotel is very impressive. Photos later, hintay lang ha? The breakfast is as fantastic as in Sheraton and Melia Hotels . I even met a filipina working there, have a little chat with her and Michel while she is doing her rounds at the lobby clearing lobby lounges. She said she is married to a Suisse and they are 5 filipinos working in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Geneva.

We were brought by shuttle bus to the air port at 7am, flight confirmed at 8:10 am.
Michel called his Boss, he cant make it today at work as we are stranded in Geneva last night. Boss didnt answer him back, must be stranded somewhere too!LOL

It was a memorable expérience having this trip. At first Michel cursing silently (to me) all air ports, planes, flight attendants, telling me next time he will bring his car to any travel in Europe. Ngek, can he bring his car in Gran Canaria,?

Lolo Michel, as a typical french , vents his frustrations:
c'est pas possible ça! incroyable! qu'elle embiciles! mama mia! bande des clones!courgette! bananes! etc etc. Ganyan magalit si Lolo. Dakdak!
ako taga salo.He told me on one of his angry moments ,that he will not travel anymore by plane, he was put off, etc etc.yadayadayada...!

If not daw strike, cancelled! pilot is late...

EMPAKE TIME

Saturday, February 11, 2006
Nag reready na kami ni Michel to go to Canary Iles,Spain tomorrow, Sunday Feb 12,2006. 8am flight namin! eskayted ako. Hihihi...

Meron akong iiwanang assignments sa inyo. As usual I like good healthy discussions and questions, worth looking and ponder about. This is about family life and how you would solve it, maybe, some of you got good experience to relate, and how they cope up.Topic to discusse are:

"The religion (muslims, jews, christians buddhist, hinduism etc etc)in the world seems regarded by many as the cause of the problems of the world instead of the solution .In your opinion, does religion brings men to a better direction in life?" Or in worse direction? Or depends...

BYE BYE WORK...

Thursday, February 09, 2006
Madrama Boss ko, when it was my last days. Imagine, I gave him my letter pre avis that I will work only until Feb 8,2006, 30 days upon reciept of my registered letter and if he find a replacement for me in advance I am happy to go at his disposal and convenience.
Ang clown kong employer, eksaktong 30 days talaga, saka ako pinaalis!I dragged myself to go to work on last days, kala nyo.

Kaya sabi ni Butler, baka in the future I want to come back daw , call ko lang daw si Butler, ilakad ako ke Boss. Hehe, nice offer, Butler, but if I want to come back, I call the Boss direct, why go via him???!!!Di ba girls? No siya, bale???!!!
He said, the Boss told him he got workers for 25 years now, still with the Boss in Torino Italy. So it is a let down daw, that I go.

I told him, "look, it is not the Boss and the salary is the problem, why I quit. It is you. I dont want to work with lots of Boss to obey...I will find a work where I am alone, at peace with the world.

O di shut up si loko...

By the way, the Boss is very kind, he gave me my February month salary despite I work only from Feb 1-8, 2006. Sarap. Nakonsensya tuloy ako iwanan eh!The Boss, even shake hands with me when I left today.Bag bag loob ko bah! Nice siya, kaedad ni Michel and very correct.

Friday is Vintimille market, makapunta nga sa Italy, bili ako "Louis Vuitton fake" from China. LOL
Shhh.
No, I will shop for something to wear (in the beach) and bathing suit, for Lolo, flower design, bagay kaya?Hihihihi ? sa Vintimille, Italy.

Sino sama? Libre ko ng Italian pizza...

Haay, sarap ng off na ako every morning. It was a dream come true...Pag alis ni Michel to work, the bed is all mine, mine mine...

Butler and his PC

Feb 8,2006 is my last day of work with Butler. And kinukulit ako ni Butler about computer programs. He got problems in his PC. As big as the problem of the state like France. He said, he pressed keyboard letter Q in the screen appeared letter A. He cant get access of his pc because of his pin code, doesnt go!I told him, its normal, kaya nga computer yan eh.

So I show him my PC (which I carry almost everyday), and he said, we have the same (french) keyboard but problem is the Q is A when he keyed it in.

Problem solved: tuklapin ang keyboard and pagpalitin ang paglagay. Sometimes manufacturers has errors in placing letter keys. He said show it to me, I dont want to, why should I???!!! , his PC is an office type, mine is laptop!Tuklapin ko keyboard ko!

Then he dont know how to use big letters, he cant find how to do the @ and other keys.

I told Butler to check his pc manuals noh!
Then he said, why he always got page cannot be found message on screen. I told him, connect your dsl. He said, he did. I asked him if he configure the cd room his server gave to him when he subscribe, he said: Should I ???
Ay tange...

Kayo na mag last day at work with Butler, I want to strangle him!!!

French newspaper Hebdo, SOLD OUT

Wednesday, February 08, 2006
"Sorry no more copies...all sold out" said the newstand shops.

Charlie Hebdo, decides to print and sold the cartoons of Prophet Mohammed despite the condemnation of the French Govt . The edition Wednesday 8February 2006 sold 160,000 copies. (The radio news I heard today said it was 400,000 copies sold) The newspaper will print 100,000 copies more for tomorrow.

Big Success?

The success of the newspaper explains the will of the french people to form their own opinion in a context of censorship and over exposed the debate of freedom of expression versus freedom of worship. A debate not really fair because of being given to "medias"(the people of professional newsmen) directly concern by the freedom of personal expression and the representative of the french muslims ,of those knowing of worships and oriental customs, which cannot represent necessarily the opinion of all Muslims in France or those other religion concerned as in Islam.

source

What is Charlie Hebdo newspaper?

"It is a controversial , satirical french newspaper. Time to time it investigates abroad ,other countries,in fields such as sects, sports hunting etc etc. Charlie Hebdo has a reputation of being a LEFTIST , however, if it aims often to the right wing it does not spare much the leftwing of the government either."

Why I put this in my blog, girls (and boys).

It intrigues me and Michel, why the copies has been sold out! So since 4pm after our work, we passed by around ten newspaper stands looking for a copy, nothing. We went home it was 7pm and we didnt find any. I said to Michel, we can look at the internet.
And we find the site I link here.Click of you dare want to know more.LOL

My personal opinion (not necessarily inportant to anybody) is : in France, religion and state are seperate. France has been in war for 100 years because of religion. French people were put off by religion.During my civic action seminar, we were told that, we can have as many religion as much as we want, as long as we dont make trouble with the law in France. We have the right of freedom of expressions through rally. The french people love that freedom and they do not abuse it.So far as I know.

At the moment,no riots here, no rally in my area in Nice. Every one seems dont bother, they just look at the cartoons and said: BOF!

Pres. Chirac appeal though, not to provoke anything to heated passions.

Pres. Chirac appeals

Which the french people did...Including the Muslims in France.

Mind you, a glimpse on the cartoons via ARTE tv:

sabi cartoons ng propeta habang hawak niya noo niya: Oh no,bakit ba mga idiots ang worshippers ko????

Qoute from BBC news:

The latest magazine to publish the cartoons, Charlie Hebdo, won the backing of a French court on Tuesday, after several Islamic organisations had complained that publication would amount to an insult to their religion.

New print run

The magazine features all 12 cartoons of Muhammad that originally appeared in a Danish paper last year - including one that shows Muhammad with a bomb-shaped turban.

Religions other than Islam are caricatured as well.

The magazine says copies have been selling so fast it is considering another print run."unquote

Hopefully, may makuha akong copy hihihihi. Agahan ko pasok bukas...

Chinese and badings

Saturday, February 04, 2006
In France, if you are singkit mata, they mistake you for a chinese citizen.
Sagot namin sabay iling: no chinoise, sorry.

Kasi nakapayong kami !LOL
Meanwhile, Lolo Michel is complaining. I ve been preparing rice and rice and rice for a week now.
Lolo said: I am worried. Too much rice,I will have chinese eyes soon!

LOL

Emilio, kuya. Pag gabi, Emilia
Tawanan sa loob ng jeep.

I like the badings because they got natural humor more than many people of normal gender. Kakatuwa sila, puro sila jokes. Nagpalawak kasi ang acceptance natin sa kanila, because of the media and television influence. Mga great hairdressers, badings!
Eto, another facet of a bading...

Punta ako UK noong May 2005, naalala nyo pa ba?
Sakay ako train (tube) mag isa, punta kasi ako British Museum. Then may sumakay na dalawang itim (african ata sila?) Macho, laki muscles, suot tight Tshirts (Nike)and jeans. Mayamaya, naghalikan na silang dalawa, yapusan and lips to lips!!!

Waah, takot ako!

Red alert for the Filipinos in Nice

Friday, February 03, 2006
Since a week now, stories here and there in the train trips foretold that Police are checking legal papers inside the train station. I'm taking the train daily, I saw some of them 5 police national boarding the train and check every filipino look alike and check their residence permit. Some would just look at me and passed by.Ehehehehe, Madame ito bah, besides I look more of a Spanish citizen than filipino, LOL!

Last monday, three filipinas were checked. No Papers meaning irregular in France. Poor thing, they rumored to be deported to Philippines.

One filipina discussed with me, she was checked too. She was asked of her passport. She said, I left it at home. The police said, we go to your house. They went and voila, she is a candidate.

Another filipina was checked. She said, "passport at home. I got photocopy and I got my legal papers at home." Police said, "we go to your house." Filipina said: "Ok,sure, and I am single, in case you want to know." The police laughed!
They really went to her house!Good enough she got her papers at home!

Another filipina related to, she was checked, good enough, she got the copy of her application to the Immigration (as her employer is applying her legal papers) and she was let off. While Police are discussing with her, three black guys, walk out the train, police followed them, LOL

This time it was me.

I was in the train seat, but very busy with my laptop. The police asked my train ticket(notice it girls, why they did not asked my papers???) I handed him my train ticket but my eyes were still in my driving exams in my pc. He asked, whats that (pointing at my pc) I said, I am learning driving a car, I got exams later. He said, "oh, good, wish I am your instructor... Surely, you will pass your test!"
hehehe...thanks, mr police, sabi ko. He moved to other passengers, mostly asiatic looking asking their passports.

Why are they on red alert?

Three filipinos were caught dealing with banned drugs!
(this a shameful thing, but got to post here for warning purpose)

Three filipinos were caught dealing with prohibited drugs. Imagine, these three filipinos ordered drugs from Philippines, via DHL !!! And when the package arrived, voila, they are caught, and rumored to have life time sentence, must be in Marseille, France now, counting sticks drawings in the prison walls.Thats the rumor circling in Filipino coffee shops. They are in jail.

They were caught because the Police acted as DHL employee delivered the package personally on the address, told the filipino to open it, and voila, caught in the act!
How stupid! Seems the money they are earning in France is not enough, they still want more!

I told Michel the story.Lolo got eyes wide! He said, DHL called him today for His packet too and they said no one's at home!I said, of course, we are at work noh!
Michel was concerned too! LOL
I said, you should ask who sent you a packet? You dont expect any packet, are you?
He said:DHL said, it's from Iberia Airlines from Barcelona!
Ngeehh, I said, its our ticket to Gran Canaria! We need it on Feb 12 trip!
Lolo was relieved, LOL

Anyway...
For three weeks now, filipinos are aware. Innocents are affected because of the stupidity of some...
