Michel and I went to:
Avignon, FranceAvignon, France and going back home, passed by at:
Aix en Provence, FranceAix en Provence, France.
Please click the 4 links, as they are interesting to read about the area. The areas are not far from Nice, France. We learned that in 13th century, the Church was powerfull and the Kings of France were under the power of the Pope.
Then came Napoleon Bonaparte, he didnt want the Pope to put his crown over his head, because for Napoleon it is a sign of his kingdom under the Church. Elisabeth I of England did the same.Very interesting topic that caught the eyes of Lola, LOL
In January 1804, Bonaparte's police uncovered an assassination plot against him, ostensibly sponsored by the Bourbons. In retaliation, Bonaparte ordered the arrest of the Duc d'Enghien, in a violation of the sovereignty of Baden. After a hurried secret trial, the Duke was executed on 21 March. Bonaparte then used this incident to justify the re-creation of a hereditary monarchy in France, with himself as Emperor, on the theory that a Bourbon restoration would be impossible once the Bonapartist succession was entrenched in the constitution.
Napoleon crowned himself Emperor on 2 December 1804 at Notre Dame de Paris. Claims that he seized the crown out of the hands of Pope Pius VII during the ceremony in order to avoid subjecting himself to the authority of the pontiff are apocryphal; in fact, the coronation procedure had been agreed upon in advance. After the Imperial regalia had been blessed by the Pope, Napoleon crowned himself before crowning his wife Joséphine as Empress . Then at Milan's cathedral on 26 May 1805, Napoleon was crowned King of Italy with the Iron Crown of Lombardy.France eventually, established a seperation of the church and the state.
I wanted to see caves of wines in Luberon France, near Avignon, but Michel said no.He didnt like the idea that I will be crawling the steps, drunk, due to degustation (wine tasting)
We stayed there for two days and one night visiting interesting tourists spots.
And you, what did you do last Monday?

Post a Commenti worked!!! solidaire daw si ako sa mga oldies.. our company engaged for that solidarity thing, so some were on strike, and some worked..anyway, those who were on leave were obliged to use their CP or RTT..
May kagagawan nyan (why the church is powerful and is instituted with equal rights over the state) is Constantine, circa 4th century yata. If not because of him, Christianity will not gain a foothold in Europe, or all over the world.
Pero ang mga French matindi, inexecute nila ang sariling royal family nila, lol.

Totoo na in France, they kill even members of the family. Madugo non, barbaric, despite the Bible exists na. Kasi nga only the priests have copies. Baka nga hindi pa nila binabasa.
Ang utos ng hari, hindi nababali. Pero the Pope can mandate the kings in those times!
Ngayon, la na, kasi France do not allow anymore the church to interfere the affairs of the state. Put off na talaga sa religion ang mga french, LOL
Anyway, when it is war, it is war, battle of survival talaga, kaya pala ang tataas ng mga pader in castles and palaces in Europe! it is pala to protect the people inside. Mama mia,
kakatakot manirahan in those times.

Emperor Constantine instituted Christianity during his reign (circa 4th century). Before his time, Christianity was just a small-time religion from the Middle East. In fact Christianity is a break from Judaism, the Jewish religion. Their doctrinal book is called Tanakh, mostly excerpts of the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. In short the Old Testament Bible of the Christians came from Tanakh/Judaism.
Judaism does not recognize Jesus as God and therefore does not recognize the New Testament of the Christian Bible. Jesus has tried to convert his fellow country men but he wasn’t successful. His twelve disciples have tried too but still they weren’t successful. It was the apostle Paul (the 13th unofficial disciple of Jesus), through his unwavering efforts, have converted many gentiles (non-Jews) into Christianity, outside of the Middle East.
His ultimate mission was Rome (the mightiest empire during that time), so he traveled and spent time convincing people the gospel of Christianity. His efforts paid off and 3 centuries later Emperor Constantine became enamored with the Christian religion. He was an idealist and principled man, but he also used Christianity for politics and for self gain. Emperor Constantine was only baptized into Christianity on his death bed.
If you read history, you will realize so much that all these religion brouhaha are just myths. I mean honestly speaking. I hope I did not offend the religious people but that is just my opinion.
Faith on the other hand is different and has nothing to do with religion. We all have faith... like I have faith tomorrow the sun will shine and we will have better weather, lol.

its true, thanks jori, that constantine was baptised during his deathbed, he must have believe that in being baptised, he will be going to heaven, LOL!even though he will not...hahaha!
Jesus is a Jew. Jews do not accept Him as the Messiah (God sent) The Jews are still waiting for their Saviour, LOL
The Jews (Israelites)are not anymore the Chosen People of God, when the Jews betrayed the true God by worshipping other gods.
God do not have alliance with them anymore difinite, when they do not believe Jesus as the Messiah. But they are always welcome to be Gods' People if they want.
The proof that the Jews (Israelites) are not God's people anymore is in Mat 27:50,51.
Michel explained it to me as I dont know these also, kasi learning process pa rin ako.
True, each one has faith in something , whatever suits them, siguro...
Jesus mentioned the faith as small as a mustard grain, and the faith that can move a mountain.
Scientist has faith on their inventions too. Some I've met, have faith, but it doesnt bring them the purpose of life.
For me, if I dont have faith in God's designs on earth, I will be like a leaf in a rough river, going left and right bumping on some rocks along the way, following where the rivers flows, but going nowhere.
lalim koh! nobayan...
