5 Comments:
I know that Spain Govt is very kind for petition papers as long as the petitioner can afford. Spain has even open working visa. France do not have.
Before I heard French men can petition friends to France, but not anymore bec the embassy got records of non returning tourists after landed in France.
Still looking for that website that only minors/spouse can be petitioned , after I clean the house, I look into it. I read it last night, then it was gone after few page changes! LOL

Here in NL, our partner and family reunification is very strict.
For partner reunification (gf/bf/spouse), a new law is currently being cooked and that is for the petitioned foreign partner to study first the Dutch language and pass the exam before the partner of the Dutch citizen is given the (immigrant) visa to Holland. The new rule will be passed into law either this last quarter of the year or first quarter next year.
Family reunification is also very strict. You can only petition your children provided that they are still of minor age and you can support them. You cannot petition siblings and both parents. However there is a catch. You can only petition 1 parent provided the parent is widowed (so di pwede kung buhay pa yung isa!), must be 65 years old and older, have no more direct relatives to take care in the Philippines, and most surviving direct relatives are all in Holland.
I think all other EU countries are also strict. I have a friend in the UK, they (she and her Pinoy bf) are thinking of moving to the USA because the British Immigration is very strict when it comes to petitioning children (dunno the details of her case). She said, she is only able to petition her kids from her previous marriage to be with her outside the Philippines if she moves to the USA (or Canada). She's currently looking for a job there (she's an ER nurse).

Inisa isa , kasi parang ayaw na even mga minors ko dahil nga sa terrorisms issue! Pero buti medyo na pa ok papers namin kasi kararating ko lang oct 2004, Nov 2004 may work agad, with two contract, Monaco declared pa. LOL
Kaya sige daw. Balik kami Oct 5

yong 21 year old ko, sabi ng OMI pag french citizen na ako, try ko. But i think kukuha pa ang abogado na nag iisa lang siya sa Pinas, kaya sana dito na kami sama sama. Ewan ko lang if pwede pa. If we dont try, after napunta na rito ang 2 then we dont know.

From what the lawyer told me here, though I cant petion for a sibling, if I can show proof that my parents are dependent on me, lots of proof like sending money regularly etc. they can avail of the family reunification visa.
My brothers have filed for them though in Canada since I didnt have any money orders to show.
good luck to you and your kids!
