In Monaco Nice Matin, (Manila Bulletin in Philippines) I find this ads very interesting. You can see how rich the two ads talk about employment offers and asking for work under EMPLOYEE DE MAISON category. And these are two serious ads among 20 ads for today Saturday August 20,2005. No joking at all.I put it in french language, then in english translations.

Demande d' emploi
(Asking for Employment)

Chauffeur de maitre confirmé,secretaire privee,39 ans,17ans d'expérience professionelle,depuis 7ans,chauffeur en Principauté de Monaco, expérience Rolls Royce, Bentley..., trilingue,français, anglais, allemagne,recherche nouveau poste. Tel. - - - - - -.

Experience driver, private secretary, 39 years old, 17 years of professional experience, since 7 years driver in Principality of Monaco, experiences Rolls Royce, Bentley... three language spoken, french, english, german, cherching for new post. Tel. ----------.

This is how to look for work or employee here in Monaco. There are lots in the newspaper at the moment, more on the "looking for work". Mostly the rich employer will collect the ads from the newspaper, tell their secretary for each appointments, and the secretary will see applicants and refer the ones best to the Employer. Some employers do it directly,(like my employer with Butler), will call and interview applicant by phone first, ask if one got papers and then set a rendezvous (appointment). If french speaking, the better the possibility of employment. The tip is to be presentably dressed when coming. As if one is applying for a managerial post in Dusit Nikko Hotel, LOL !

One that look for new poste, the secretary/driver must be really fantastic in his duty ala personal driver for the rich. I can guess, the two ads are talking about salary of 5000 euros/month minimum ! At least!

And three languages, just a for a driver! Not bad ... Me three also, tagalog, bisaya and english!LOL Kung di pa kay Butler, malay ko mag french !

Michel at 64 is learning tagalog and he is doing fine! His first tagalog word learned when in Manila is: San Miguel!
Taray ni lolo!
Sha as a swiss citizen, learning french is useful.Depends which area you are in Switzerland of course.Geneva and Laussane daw speaks french, Zurich area speaks german, some italian,or roman (helvetique ) sabi Lolo!

Get a work that employer speaks only french and you will learn petit a petit(little by little).
Like me, thanks to Butler, LOL
6 years of summer in France working along with the Brits, aussies, kiwi americans LOL

my swiss family are German speaking
Sha, I dont understand, one day you are in greece, then in UK , moved to Norway, then a swiss national by papers, staying/working in France.
Para kang si Condoleza Rice, LOL, kung saan saan napadpad. hehehe
5000 eu a month for driver? Sorry pero di yata ako makapaniwala nyan!

Minimum salary in Europe is between 1400eu to 1600eu + 1 month holiday pay, fulltime. Ganyan nga sahod ng mga janitor dito and many entry level young professionals kumikita ng 1500eu to 2000eu a month.

Au pairs here earns the same, but lesser if they live in.

But they survive well because the social security system and tax works best for them.
jori, it is like that here, kasi private secretary ,bodyguard valet, driver pa and position niya. Not just a one category of work.pero it is skinning the person, kasi if Boss is all year round in Monaco, dami work, eh kung livein siya.If ako, yoko ng ganyang work, kasi wala na time for family.
Pero usually dyan, half lang ang declared sa payslip, the rest is sort of addtnal personal tip.
Meron pa dyan mas malaki, depends sa quality of work and experience of the person.
Si Butler 3000 kay ALfayed bf ni Diana. Daw? Pero marami sila sa boat. Iba ibang designation of work. Si Butler, personal butler lang ng Boss (tatay).Taga gawa daw ng tea and tsika tsika sa gabi before going to bed! LOL
KFC, Mcdonald, Flunch employees get paid 7.62 euros/hour plus declaration 46%.
If I work like them, ganyan din lang sahod ko.Yoko.
Baka you mean 5000eu as a couple? Like a tanden couple working?

5000eu is a very well paid job here in Holland and anywhere else in Europe (with 52% deductible by tax here).

I always check kasi the salary rates so I am surprised. This is what I know:

1. Minimum fulltime pay is 1600eu a month +- doesnt matter if professional or blue collar job with ++ benefits if entitled sila (such as bonuses, holiday pay, profit sharing, commissions, etc)
2. Entry level professionals fulltime between 1800eu to 2000eu a month with ++ (bonuses, holiday pay, profit sharing, commissions, etc)
3. Experienced professionals and managers fulltime start at 3000eu to 5000eu a month with ++ (bonuses, holiday pay, profit sharing, commissions, etc)
4. Executives earn 6000eu to 8000eu a month with ++ (bonuses, holiday pay, profit sharing, commissions, etc) with ++ (bonuses, holiday pay, profit sharing, commissions, etc)
5. Executives in large corp earn 10000eu or more a month

I just cant believe that 5000 is for a driver with additional miscellaneous jobs. With that kind of salary, banks will give you preferred banking treatment. 3000eu I can understand kasi thats a normal salary range for butlers. Butlers are managers too by profession. 3000 to 4000 (or more) are normal salary ranges for managers or experienced professionals.
jori, there are dealing between employer and employee out of contracts and it is happening in Monaco to evade taxes. And that salary is not for couple. Can be for one person only, depends in his line of duties. Monaco is for the snobs, cant compare to other Eu countries. The rich here paid a hotel 1500 euros for a night, what is 5000 euros for them for a personal secretary, driver, bodyguard valet? I wish I can introduce you to one, but it is private dealings between employers and employee. I wish I have that deal too.LOL
The minimum salary you said is true. but the "other side " salary that is going on in Monaco, that is not everybody knows. But it is happening here.
When one is asked by the bank how much one earned (as employee in Monaco), the answer is by declaration or plus "the other side"?
but you are correct about the minimum wage, declared.
Butler and I have paylips(bulletin de paie) for minimum salary(8.03 euros/hour na since july 2005). But we both negotiated, before accepting the job that there is a "salary at the side" out of contracts and payslips! LOL

So 5000 euros/month for a salary is normal fee, as long as the employer grant it. Depends on their dealings, they declare half, pay at the side half.

"Dame de compagnie" work is like that. An old lady with plenty money, hire someone to be with them day and night, goes to africa, new york, knows paperworks (sorting all bills, lawyers stuffs) travel with her, make her bed, chat with her anytime, make her coffee tea or chocolate, thats what this driver thzt advertise does, but with an old man naman. And they ask that salary kasi hard work din yan. Wla sariling life, lagi matanda kasama. We dont know, if kasama na giving girls to the old man. LOL !
