I was discussing with Michel today about the fashion that many ladies wear this summer.
One lady with her long white wide skirt(uso daw ngayon) that she looks like a white lady walking in Promenade des Anglais, Nice.She is too fat ! Mama mia ...
One lady in her jeans too low in her hips and nasty looking as her thongs is visible, and she got some tatoo at the back and rings on her tummy...
One lady, her top is her bra piece (of her bathing suit) and wears a very short short maong shorts, on heels shoes,with cigarette blowing her lungs when we joined her crossing the street to the beach.
One lady in the beach, topless in front of children all over the beach area. Husband is nearby, reading his bestseller book.

We went to Baies de Anges, Marina beach area, Nice and I was playing with my camera taking photos to some sceneries of ladies at the beach.
Topless lady with children all over the place. Okey, I am tooo critic on this, but come on...My filipina genes is evident, I know.
Lady (left side) with her jewelries in the beach, while young girls didnt bother. I noticed, hehe. Normally, what for the jewelries are? in the beach?
Michel couldnt care less...Prefer to read his book...
Seems everything these ladies( I dont know if they are ladies, hehe) does their best, as normal isnt it?
When asked Michel , how does he feels about these women in their "best"?
He said:" not many knows how to dress these days. It is not because it is the fashion, they looked better. They ruin their feminity, and they paid a lot to be beautiful...but in some they looked like a clown or worst a pro.
To kiss a woman having a cigarette is like kissing a chimney ! for me."
He he, Lolo nyo very straight. Kasi in his time (era) women are in tailor dress going to grocery or to tea or coffee shop.
(Remember the movie: Breakfast at Tiffany?Panahon niya yan !
Then he added, when in Philippines, we are inside a jeepney he spotted a beautiful filipina. He found her beautiful because the naturalness of her beauty is preserved(no make up, nothing being elaborate.)
But she is in a poor state. She got even holes in the shirt she wears, and she is having a baby in her hand next to her. If she had money, she can beat the beautiful ladies of France where here,they are put up of too much of ridiculous fashion and make up, and clothes that mostly are Arab made designs.Especially Arab designs, brrwk!"( ang tawa ko, while listening)
That lady he saw in the jeepney for him is a true beauty.
Then he added: "Mind you, I didnt know her if how she is brain wise,if display fine character (despite her maybe low education). If she got some chance to have someone to bring her to France, will she be ready for the change? Or she backs off because she cant take the new life? She might not be ready...But will she display a minimum of humility to learn?
A story reminds me of Marlon Brando, marrying a Tahitian,a natural beauty, (until now that she got some age,) because she refused to have dinner with him three times, Mr. Brando decided, she is the one decent lady for me...)
And you? What is it really to be a beautiful lady to your husband (except you of course)?He he he.
Can you ask and share why he choosed you among the girls he had before?

My wardrobe here is very much "liberated" compared to the one I had in the PI. I couldn't wear sleeveless, mini skirts or any top which will show even a shadow of a cleavage. I'm also guilty of thinking things like "my gawd, what is she thinking wearing that hideous number?" but at least I'm comforted by the fact that I'm in a place where even if we don't have common fashion sense, we could still wear whatever we want and not be in danger of being gawked or stared at like we would be if we were in the nanayland.
Thats one thing I love about Europe, the women really dress up or they just don't care what they wear. It's freedom of expression along the lines of flaunting it. If people find fault on what they wear, then I guess it is the problem of the onlookers haha.
I love dressing up and fortunately the Dutchman have the patience even though he sometimes complain that it takes ages for him to wait on me.
Back in the Philippines, I was seen as a liberated woman. I dress whatever I like. I even sport those blouses with cleavage and wear mini skirts, and I don't give a hoot what people say. Well I make sure naman I don't look like a clown lost for a party or a desperate slut, lol. Its a matter of adapting to your own taste. Everyone has its own style and whatever you're confident with, wear it.
And its not just in the south of France, you will see European women dressing up (and dressing down haha) in the beaches of Spain and Greece with matching shawls, beach bags, sunglasses, hats, slippers, fashion accessories et al. In fact I love watching them whilst sitting in a cafe sipping coffee, sangria or bitter lemon on a hot afternoon. It's like seeing Cosmo and Vogue spring out of the magazine, live in action.
And the Dutchman doesn't care if someone is naked or clothed in psychedelic colors, you know them Europeans, they have this attitude of (which I also adapt by the way), "I mind my own business so don't bother me". I like him can take someone who is loudly dressed than someone who is loud.

It is not on the onlookers, it is from the ladies behaving/dressed like clowns or pros that ruins the fine reputation of an area, and that Lolo dont like it.

Francesca, doon din ako bumibili ng damit kasi mas mura. mala milyonarya pa dating kasi pakyawan sa tela :-P its a good alternative naman eh kesa dito ka sa europa mamili na ubod ng mahal... i know you can make a 1 euro dress loook like a hundred.

I would keep myself away from those low waist trousers,
Id rather dress up a poodle with a short short denim than wearing them myself.
Fad is a fad and they sell the idea, youngsters ,especially, had to face it; to acquire a personality by virtue of dressing it has to be on their own individual style and should not be dictated by the fad... while it does good to some, it doesnt work for others.
I prefer the classics 50sh dresses.Breakfast at Tifanny´s wardrobe are just the right numbers .To dress 50s doesnt mean it has to be dowdy, sexiness exudes with the mystery beneath those covers and not on the amount of flesh protruding. I want to be noticed by the way i carry myself (clothes et al) and not by showing off my soul.
While labels are made by designers, personality is done by indivuduals, and retaining the sense of decency at the same time is a talent :-)
and lets face it... not many are gifted :-)
