DAVAO Trip

Got this email from my co asawa forum member:
"I suggest when you go visit davao you should stay at the Marco Polo Hotel. They have nice facilities and it is not far from the malls and just about 30 minutes away from the airport.
Regarding about the beaches, don't go there at the Waterfront Insular Hotel coz its not as clean as before when they opened the resort. Try Paradise Island or Pearl Farm Beach Resort. Both resorts have private bungalows and at a very affordable price
Cebu Pacific airlines is great. They have the reputation to be on time and sometimes 10 minutes ahead of schedule unlike PAL which is known to be late all the time.
Have fun on your upcoming vacation to Davao! "
Today I made some internet inquiries, here are what they offer:
HOTEL/FLIGHT /BFAST (3days/2 nights, waterfront insular,hotel, cebu pacific roundtrip manila-davao-manila (315 euros for two persons)
Marco Polo Hotel: 61euros/night with pick up at airport
Pearl Farm : 66 euros/night transfers 56Euros for two passengers, bfast 30 euros
Cebu Pacific: 348 euros ,round trip, manila-davao-manila
561 euros total
Michel likes to stay in a superferryboat(WGA). He enjoyed our stateroom accomodation,(when we went to Cebu last April 2004,) but manila -davao boat trip will took us at least 2 days in the sea, one way. We got only two weeks stay in Phils! How about time with kids!!!
Is Waterfront Insular not that good anymore? They seems to offer a reasonable price worth taking hehe.

whew am off to davao when I go to Phils this October but I will stay with friends who have a newly built house.. but I cant be near the malls
I want to relax, swim, dive hike, massage spa.....
ang mahal ng prices nito francesca...am sure you can get better prices than these... galing mo mag hanap ng bargain eh LOL

Cudz, I am aware of this davao trip that cost too much for a filipino standard, we might as well stay in cebu again, beach, mall and to see you and mikkie.

hi there! i am originally from davao but now in ohio, usa. just in case you're still interested to go to Davao, my hubby and i suggests you to stay in Pearl Farm Beach Resort. It is more private than going to Paradise Island Beach Resort kasi nga its more expensive. The type of food is european, polynesian and chinese which is super sarap. The downside is that you are farther from the downtown and malls. If you wanna stay downtown try the Marco Polo Hotel, or Royal Mandaya, Grand Men Seng Hotel or the Apo View Hotel. If you stay around downtown don't forget to visit Jack's Ridge. Tourist liked the scenery overlooking davao and its city lights. Also try to go to Eden Resort. If you wanna go for gimik go to The Venue or Matina Town Square (MTS). Best coffee is BluGre. If you wanna go shopping aside from malls go to Aldevinco Shopping Complex across Marco Polo Hotel. I have more info. if you are interested and I could also send you some photos.
I reserve a booking in pearlfarm 3d2n then one night in marco polo, then go to cebu, one night in waterfront cebu, then back to manila via WGA superferry, as michel requested. 5 days.

oo nga, time-consuming pala ang boat-trip ano? but in case michel really wants the WGA, ok din lang, para relaxed kayo ano! and that's what vacation is meant to be, supposedly, haha (i'm saying this to myself too). if ever, tuloy tayo kits sa cebu ha!
