'Pinoys in Paris'
Itinanghal ng The CORRESPONDENTS,
Lunes, 11:30 p.m.

(hmmn, not bad, not bad.)

She is a mayordoma but, she is not a just just!
And she works for the rich. If she works with someone (not that rich), then she doenst have a carrer.
To work with millionaires, even a house employee is big responsibility. Olaaaahhh !
Kasi they have a life different from average.

If one is not professional, like Angie, her salary (200,000 pesos) a month, she dont deserve it.)
Only those who knows how to work quality deserves that salary.

I was discussing with Sha's husband ,Mark during one of our beer sprees.
In the boat, the owner who is soo rich would hired Ukranians. Mama mia! They dont even know how to set a table,or had seen a golden fork, these lots! what more to work in a charter boat (very classic ) which the rent is 190,000 euros a week. I will not work with people who are not experienced. Agreed by Sha and Mark, it will be all our work, as these people needs training...
And the salary are all the same???? Nah...

Pero totoo yang sweldo ni Angie.
In 5 months, one million pesos! Wow !

Sarap yata maging "DH" sa Europe. Dahil dito, a DH job is like every other job. You get paid at least the minimum wage, some even have their own accomodation, car or both. They can choose their hours. They pay taxes! And... yes, they can wear whatever they want including tons of jewellery, even hoover in high heels!
Here in the US...they don't call them domestic workers; the rich have what they call "personal assistants", "nannies", "body-guards", "cooks" and "butlers". Most of the time they hire people that they already know, sometimes close friends. Salary depends on who you work for, it is negotiable and most of them earn a good living--more than an average joe, only the rich can afford.
well I must say if you are expercienced then you deserve the wage you are worth!

2,100 euro for Lucas is quite good.. thats the butler/management level amy..
in France, maids/cleaning ladies are called (femme de menage) or a bit class like your Lola and ang work designation sa contract is: Employee de Maison(House Employee).

As the work is hard work, the pay is more than the average office secretary's salary, at times double, depends sa experience and sa nego ng both parties.
The tips are also good, if they are pleased of your work.

Working in Europe as "femme de menage" is a quality work, as it is a work with millionaires and the quality of life is with class and elegance.Naka maid's uniform nga lang, without alahas, please, hehe.
Also Matututo ka sa kanilang lifestyles.

Like Angie's work.

Ps: My sister in UK is earning 1000 pesos an hour,nanny/ house employee. Mas malakas hataw doon bah! Ha ha ha !
in yachting industry/hospitality there few things are forbidden when working:

1) perfume
2) jewellry
3) painted nails

but 80% of the girls in this sector of service industries are all college educated.

do not compare what your sister earns in UK. Taxes are higher, food is expensive, life in UK in general is expensive than in France.
What a privilege to know how the millionaires live! You learn a whole lot of things such as their etiquette, food and way of living. Kind of like when anticipating what a surgeon needs, one must know how to think like one. Never worked the type of work you do but...it is admirable especially ones that learn humility early on. Some people can be condescending 'though knowing this is the kind of work one does, but they haven't grasp yet the kind of responsibilities and knowledge you have to acquire to work such a job. And to the nannies: if were a millionaire I would hire the best, imagine trusting my kids to one! She has to be educated and the best!
yep, femme de ménage works, like all other works in france are reglemented, so they enjoy at least the minimum wage. kaya nga di lahat pede maka hire ng femme de ménage e. but as you've said, they are responsible...unlike sa pinas na minsan yung amo pa ang gumagawa ng housework while si inday e nanonood ng korean nobelas hehe...
And here, if off mo na, hindi ka pwede tawagan sa celphone mo. Kasi off duty ka na.
Kahit may hahanapin sila, sa bahay, hintay nila ako na on duty, saka nila ako tanungin , nasaan ang belt niya or salamin or what ever. Not when I am already at home. Galit Michel sa kanila.Hehe.
Or doon sila gamit sa guest cr.

Nannying is actually a college course here. My stepdaughter Vicky is a professional nanny. She has a Diploma in Nursery Nursing (DNN). In layman's terms, she went to Nanny School. Mary Poppins all the way!

She earns £1500/mo, she has her own accomodation (separate from the family's house ah) and provided with a car (and petrol.) Five days a week lang ang trabaho niya, 8 hurs a day. If they want her to work extra, OT pay yon. Their taxes are special ones called Nanny tax and are paid by their employers so yung sweldo niyang £1500/mo, Gross pay, all hers. If she has to do any housework, they would all be just children-related, like cook just the kids food, do the kids laundry, clean only their rooms. If they want to take her on holiday, she is paid by the hour = 24hrs! If she tires of being a nanny, she is also qualified to work with children in hospitals.

One can still be a nanny here without a DNN. Yun nga lang, they won't get the same pay rate and benefits. Kaya Amy, buti pang mag-invest yung sister mo for a DNN. Two years lang yon and she can do night school. Ang laki ng difference.
Wow, 15OO£ thats 150 thou pesos and all for her? Dyan na lang ako, hehe.Hindi pa mamroblema kaka french speaking !
Dito sa Monaco kung declared ka (meaning may papel,) by the hour ang bayad, di pwede lahat sasabihin sa govt. Example si Butler 1500(X 65 pesos) euros ang declared salary full time 8hours everyday, except Saturday niya half day, sunday off. But the Boss gave him extra pay (undocumented)ayaw nga lang sabihin magkano.
Kasi ang pasweldo rito(for house employees) more than minimum. Mababa.

Lola nyo , as I got two employers, kaya mas malaki kay Butler kasi I go by the hours hanggat kaya sige patak parang taxi ang sweldo ko, LOL.
Pero uwian ako, not live in sa amo. Wala tawag na amo kung off ko na, or else I charge them by the hours, minutes, seconds... lol

Dito 10-13 euros lang per hour, declared , then bawas tax pa yan, huhu. Sa UK patak 15 euros, mas malaki!!!
Ewan ko lang sa US?Magkano ba dyan mga Tita sa US?
Three times I went with my daughter in law to clean a house. What I know from her is that per hour is $25. I like cleaning the house though because it is already clean its just dusty. But what I don't like is dustying all those (crap) expensive collections!!I don't know how much it is in new york or other state that are more industrialized. One time I am dustying a big transparent jar.....this is what i read "inside is a shredded one million dollar money". napatulala ako!!
Wow, saan yang 25 dollars per hour? Dyan na lang ako ! LOL
Meaning on top of salary, meron pa na employer will pay retirements benefits, medicine paid, insurance (health and accidents) Bah kalaki !
It is not compensated to any benefits. Though they paid it by check but I don't know if my daughter in law declared it sa tax niya parang hinde. After cleaning bayad kaagad.
