If family member ka ng isang EU national:
Ito nakuha ko sa website ng British Embassy , Paris.
EEA nationals and their family members
EEA & Swiss Nationals
Citizens of the following countries are EEA nationals:
Austria Greece Netherlands Belgium Iceland *
Norway * Denmark Ireland Portugal France
Italy Spain Finland Liechtenstein * Cyprus
Latvia Lithuania Slovakia Poland Czech republic
Hungary Germany Luxembourg
Malta Estonia
* These countries are not members of the European Union (EU). However, the European Economic Area Agreement granted nationals of these countries the same rights to enter, live and work in the UK as EU citizens. On arrival at major ports and airports, you should use the separate channel marked ‘EEA/EU’ where it is available. Please note that you must be in possession of a valid passport or identity card.As an Eea national you are entitled to work, whether in employment, self-employment or in business, manage companies or establish local branches or subsidiaries. You do not require a work permit. You also have right of residence in the UK if you are: a student or a retired person and in any other economically non-active capacity provided you have sufficient funds to support yourself throughout your stay without recourse to public funds. You may, if you wish, apply to the Immigration and Nationality Directorate for a residence permit. A residence permit simply confirms that you have the right of residence in the UK under European Community Law.
Your family’s rights
If your family members are EEA nationals they will have the same rights to live and work in the UK as you. The information in this section applies to your family members who are not EEA nationals (non-EEA family members). If you have the right of residence in the UK you may be joined by members of your family.
Your family members are defined by European Community Law as:
your spouse (oy ako ito, he he)
your or your spouse’s children or grandchildren if they are under 21 years of age
your or your spouse’s children or grandchildren over the age of 21 if they are dependent upon you
dependent relatives in the ascending line, such as your spouse’s parents or grandparents.
If you are a student your family members are restricted to your spouse and your dependent children only.
Non-EEA family members must obtain an EEA family permit before travelling to the UK if they are visa nationals, or if they are coming to live with you permanently or on a long-term basis.
If they try to enter the UK for this purpose without an EEA family permit they may be refused admission.
The EEA family permit is a form of entry clearance issued free of charge for the purpose of allowing non-EEA dependants of an EEA national to travel to the UK.
(Yan, instead na visa ang i ask sa British Embassy, ask for an EEA Family Permit.)
Libre lang.
In order to satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer you must provide evidence of the relationship (i.e. marriage certificate and/or birth certificates) and the EEA nationals nationality (valid travel document) as well as a document to show that you are living with the EEA national (electricity bill, joint account).

Teka, hanap ako Monaco public Holidays, para wala angal sa absent mga bossing ko, lalo na si Butler Pasaway.
Thanks for the info provided by Mia( Schatzli)of Greece! Muah!

Hi madame. just want to greet you a happy hearts day. as usual, i enjoyed my visit again. ingat.
Miss T i think you dont qualify as libre coz your cohabitation is not considered as a family member. You must be married to an EU/EEA to qualify, I didnt pay, my cousin married to an Italian didnt, my sis married to a greek didnt either!

SHA, NO, legal/cohabitation partnership and marriage are the SAME here in NL. it has no distinction because if there is, then half of the population here will ransack the immigration halls lol. kasi thats discrimination and that cannot be tolerated here in NL.
i myself have all the rights any married woman has. even conjugal property... thats what i love about NL (and the scandinavian countries, you maintain your identity)
also, the this EEA thing mentioned. i re-read it again, its about "LIVING in UK"? living in UK is different than visiting the UK?
was just curious about that coz i think you have residence in UK and francesca doesnt, she is only visiting.
but anyway, francesca can check it the UK embassy in paris. maybe i can avail of that too when i apply for a visa to UK, but then that means going to the municipal hall for documents and being absent for half a day, lol. told dutchman about this last night coz francesca YM'd me and he said: "what? i dunno that" lol

i want to see Miss T protest at the British embassy why she paid
;-)
they call the tourist visa for EU EEA a family permit, a different colour to a regular tourist visa. I would love to scan mine but it might be cut and pasted ;-)

I just became a resident in UK last year but I have been travelling there for the past 7 years. My visa was free....my cousin applied in Frankfurt free too, one year and its marked family permit (we are not classified as tourists being married to an EU/EEA national)
sha, i didnt know anything about this EEA family permit thing. my dutchman doesnt know too. so i applied for the tourist visa which was granted.
also i travelled alone on 2 occasions, dutchman was not part of the plan to come with me to the UK.
i read in rules that for someone to be given the free visa, the EU/EEA national should accompany the non EU/EEA national... so in this case Amy is safe, kasama nya si Michel hehe.
may kausap ako kanina tatawagan raw nya yung british embassy kasi naguguluhan sya, pati ako!
1. is this strictly for settlement or pwede lang for visiting? settlement kasi sabi dun eh.
2. kailangan ba talagang accompanied by the EU/EEA national to be given the free visa and entry?
3. whats the definition of "family" kasi baka it varies per embassy. kasi kung ganun if a legal partnership (not really cohabitation) couple has kids, then the kids visa fee are/is waived pero the foreign non-EU/EEA partner should pay? medyo ang gulo nga lol
anyway i will ask.

Miss T find out!I travel many times to UK without my husband. I didnt know this rule actually the visa officer herself told me.
ayan, na sealed na ang application ko for the EEA agreement.
Gawa ako ng sulat, papirma kay Michel, asking the British Embassy that he wants to bring me to visit England, if there is a possibility for his wife (me) to have the EEA family Permit.
We enclose proofs:
All photocopies of:
passport his and mine,
his identity national card
my titre de Sejour (residence title)
Family book (livret de famille)
Marriage Cert.
Bank Rib, bill of telephone as proof of adress
Salary of Michel
Self addressed envelope.
We provide an email address and portable cell phone in the letter
Send it via registered mail kahit na all photocopies(mahirap na , baka may gumamit na iba ng papers namin, hehehe)
Bukas, hulog na.
Sabi ni Mia 3 weeks wait. (or more depends sa loads ng embassy.)
Will post here pag nakabalita agad.
Meanwhile, eskayted ako to see Amsterdam.
(wink!)

Hello mga Euro ladies. Last year I applied a visa for France. I was granted. They only asked for the marriage contract and husband's passport. Yun lang, libre. But I have to say my experienced with the French Embassy London was the most frustrating one I ever had. (I've been to many immigration depts. before). They are slow to act, slow to process papers and disorganised! We wanted to visit France this year if my visa for Italy lasts longer than 6 months. I heard that the second time around would be for 1 year. I will be applying on the first week of March.I like Italian Embassy here in London, they also give priorities to EU national's family members. That means,I can just walk-in without any appointment.
See its not just the British Embassy. I have applied for visa from Switzerland other EU countries (there was a time I didnt hold any residence permit of any of the countries). It was all free, EU/EEA family are a different case, they are not classified as "plain tourist" thats why the visa for UK is called family permit. I have checked mine again and again ;-)
